Just wanted to say how amazing this place is, especially after reading the last bad review (which, yeah, totally wild and inaccurate).I love hide and seek, and always look forward to stopping by when I'm cycling in town. In fact, I specifically go to oak bay for this joint. It's got:Properly excellent coffee, consistently. (I've got high standards yall)Great homemade bites with a real mom and pop feelNice location, friendly clientsIt's firmly on my very short list of best coffee in Victoria.Hope your day is made!

Hide + Seek is a nice little cafe in Victoria. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The coffee is very well selected and they provide you with the tasting notes for the various blends they serve. My only real complaint is that there are no plugins for laptops and things of the like. If one is looking to do work in a cafe, it is really hard to do so without a plugin.

Hide + Seek is a pillar in the community. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a warm, delightful environment. Whether you are grabbing a quick bite and a coffee to go or enjoying a comfortable seat to truly experience this one of a kind atmosphere, you won't be disappointed. With a beautiful view of the iconic Oak Bay Ave, artwork from independent artists hung from the walls, tasty treats with locally sources ingredients and music that captivate you, Hide + Seek is a must see when visiting Victoria or when looking for the best local spot in town to enjoy!Jamie, Jesse and the entire Hide + Seek staff go above and beyond with their quality, customer service and charm. You can tell that they are all truly passionate about what they do and that passion is infectious! I would give them 10000 stars if I could!!Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming of littles with tons of books to keep them entertained!

A small, cute and quiet cafe. Delicious coffee and toast. After reading a book, I immediately feel like drawing.

This is a lovely little cafe tucked in the heart of Oak Bay Village. The owners and staff are all incredible. The drinks and treats are divine. And the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend coming here!

Best coffee in Victoria by far. Food is okey ish but still gets 5 stars because of the coffee.

The drip coffee tastes old like mud water. My friend ordered a cappuccino, I don't know how that tastes but the size is extremely small and pricey. 2 small pieces of toast cost $3,5. Do not recommend.

I visited this place on a busy Sunday. Lined up 10 minutes before 10 and there were already more than 10 people lined up. The door opened at 10 and tables filled up pretty fast. It was a bit chaotic trying to secure a table and keep our places in the line. There is no menu on the wall, so you have to go to their IG account and check the special, or wait till you get close to the counter where they keep a copy of their menu. Not sure if missing wall menu is intended so it looks cooler but personally I wished they prioritized customer experience over whatever they are trying to achieve. Ordered basic waffle ($10) and coffee. Coffee was really good and waffle was just okay. Conclusion: not sure what the big hype is all about. But if you are in the neighborhood, looking for a cup of coffee (in & out), perfect place. If you want to sit and have a proper brunch, go elsewhere.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly. The place is pretty small and the tables are so close to each other.

Fantastic atmosphere and staff, but the coffee was terrible for the price you pay.I ordered flat white with oat milk and couldn’t drink it after a few sips. I couldn’t taste the coffee at all, just homemade milk with a strong texture. Milk should be the addition to the coffee, not the opposite. I might’ve been unlucky and got the last portion of the house-made milk, but for such a recommended coffee shop, the coffee should taste amazing regardless. Let's hope it was my unlucky day!

Probably one of the best Americanos I’ve had. Nice environment, with a dog friendly patio.
