Very disappointing Chinese food. This is probably one of the worst meals that I have ever had, and definitely the worst Chinese I have ever eaten at. Went inside and was brought to a table. The host and server were not rude, but were far from friendly. We were pressured to order quickly. The green tea came out slobbered with sauce on the side of it. When the food came out, it was bone dry and incredibly hard. Tasted like it was a week old. The vegetables were very soggy and were nasty to eat. Maybe they have some god menu items, but from other reviews, it sounds like there are not. The only positive thing was that it was not expensive. However, it was still overpriced for what it was. The atmosphere is depressing and the bathroom is nasty. Do not recommend!

Waited for over 30 minutes, and the food was disappointing—not worth the wait. Service was average at best. What really bothered me was when it came time to pay, the server showed me how to leave a tip and then reacted angrily when I chose not to. Tipping is earned through good service, not demanded. Very unprofessional attitude. Honestly, this experience doesn’t even deserve one star.

Probably the worst Chinese restaurant I've been to. The chicken chowmein has no veggies except bean sprouts and few small shredded chicken pieces added to a dry salty noodle base. Even the sautéed prawns I ordered was salty, with lots of onion only added. The worst part is getting my orders One item at a time. Fried rice, then the prawn after 15minutes then the chow mein another 20min. Sadly, should have read reviews before coming here.

First of all the food was bland. We ordered beef soup that didn't even have a hint of beef taste nor flavor. As in zero, nada, zilch. Whoever cooked it should at least taste it before serving. It was called Beef soup with cilantro (the cilantro was strong though). There were miniscule bits and pieces of beef that was present but wasn't even seasoned with garlic at least or perhaps black pepper or salt. And then when it was served, the server placed and left it at the very edge opposite of where we sat so we had to gingerly pull it towards us lest the hot soup will spill. He just left it there as if he suddenly remembered to do something hurriedly and intending to come back to it to pick it up. In short they are a snob.

I should have known better. This was some of the most mediocre Chinese food I’ve ever had, total waste of time and money. Bad service and bad food. I don’t think Victoria has any good Chinese restaurants. I have now given up trying to find decent Chinese food in Victoria. Why have a China Town without a good Chinese restaurant?

We were given recommendations several people. Took a while before anyone took out order. It was a Sunday evening and was I over 40 minutes before we saw food. Our order was sent to a different table, and another table’s drink order was sent to ours. One of our main courses arrived before our appetizer. The food was ok, nothing special.

We just had dinner here and paid in cash (060125). After paying, we waited for our change, but instead of giving it back, the server asked us if we were STILL going to take it—making it clear they didn’t want to return it.
It felt like we were being pressured to leave a tip we didn’t agree to. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable. Tips should never be forced.
I’m not sure why people are expecting a 5 star dining experience and exceptional food. Cmon let’s be honest look at the place, it’s tasty, western, relatively cheap Chinese food. I have no complaints and am always satisfied with eating here. I usually get one of the combo’s, an egg roll and sometimes the small wonton soup.
