Worst meal I have ever purchased.
Disgusting food, mice in restaurant.

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was so bad I feel a duty to warn others.

Chicken chopsuy was stringy, slimy, and smelt like an outhouse toilet bowl. I did not eat it.

Almond chicken was weirdly sour and mushy.

The chow main was dry and had the taste of burnt oil.

Even the soy sauce was bad. It was thick, sticky, and tasted like molasses or marmite.

None of it was hot, none of it was fresh.
Either this was sitting in a big pot in the back and slopped onto a plate or warmed in the microwave. Either way I was kind of offended to be served this, probably wouldn’t let my dog eat here tbh. Neither of us finished our plates.

Oh yeah and a mouse freely roamed the restaurant while we were eating. Cute, but not here. 🐭

Unfortunately, this was a terrible meal.

The veggie combo and almond chicken was really bad. Staff offered to make new vegetables for us without canned bamboo shoots and corn, but it wasn’t worth it.

Probably the worst meal I’ve ever had. And I’m really hard to disappoint.

Food smelt awful, the chicken was bland and sour, chow mein was edible but not great. Veg was smothered in grease and fats.
We didn’t come close to finishing our plates

Poor service; only one waitress, one cashier, and one busser for a busy restaurant. Food was bland and didn’t come out together.

After years of visiting, last night will be our final time. Being charged $16.95 plus tax and tip for a plate of plain (literally PLAIN when what I asked for was no meat) noodles for a 4 year old, and mediocre (read gone incredibly far down hill) chow mein for the adults, we couldn't get out of there fast enough. Good thing, too as one of us was sick all night.

I'll be stopping in to share my thoughts in person, too. Filthy is what we could see. Imagine what we couldn't. 👎🏼

Spent 60 on a dinner for two for my daughters 25th birthday. In and out in 20 minutes. Food was cold, service non existent, food pretty much thrown on the table in disgust by staff. Never in my life have I not tipped but tonight not only did I not tip, I contemplated not paying at all. Do yourself a favor and walk 30 seconds past the corner for actual food.

I've had a few minor issues in the past but nobody makes better Chinese food in town. I've tried just about every place and I always end up coming back here. My wife agrees

I went to Ocean Garden Restaurant in Victoria’s Chinatown with my co-travel nurse, and it was such a good choice after a long day. 🥢 The place has that authentic Chinatown vibe — nothing fancy, just cozy and welcoming. The food came out fast, portions were big, and the flavors were spot on.

We both left full and happy, and the prices were really fair for how much food we got. If you’re exploring Chinatown in Victoria and craving Chinese food, Ocean Garden is definitely worth a stop.

We really enjoyed our lunch. My family shared the orange chicken, the lettuce wraps, and pot stickers. Service was excellent and the food was delicious!

Good north American-cantonese dishes! First time having ginger beef, interesting flavor!

The restaurant have a more upscale feeling, so probably a good options for family events.
