This place is fantastic. One of my favourites in Victoria and always fresh and well-made. It’s located in beautiful historic Chinatown, which makes it extra beautiful. The “Island Roll” is probably my favourite sushi dish in Victoria. 100% make the trip to Shizen.Kid-friendliness: Great spot for kids, partially because of its wonderful location beside Chinatown.

This has become my favourite sushi restaurant in town. They do take out but I highly recommend dining in if you can, the experience is bar none. The restaurant is family owned and operated. They are so very welcoming and treat you like a guest. The food is made with love and enthusiasm and you can definitely tell! Visit the Sushi Chef Jimmy and his family and have the best sushi Victoria has to offer.

I love Shizen. I always get my take out sushi here, the rice is nice and soft and moist. Nothing worse than dry sushi rice in my opinion. The fish is fresh tasting and I find the food is consistently good.
