“After reading the reviews, we just had to try it. We got the cod fish and chips, the halibut fish and chips and the clam chowder. My favorite was definitely the halibut fish, it’s juicy and crispy; the best fish and chips i’ve had. The cod fish wasn’t the best I wouldn’t order it again. Over all i would definitely recommend this place for a weekday lunch/dinner.“

“My go-to for the best fish and chips!

Staff: friendly, always prompt to take your order. Staff must like working here, because I usually see the same people.

Food: absolutely delicious! I love that the batter is light and not too thick, so you’re able to enjoy the flavor of the seafood and not loads of greasy batter. Coleslaw is good and always fresh. Fries are always piping hot and tasty, but not amazing. In my opinion, must-haves are the onion rings and prawns. They have the best house made tartar sauce, it’s no wonder they leave a full bottle at your table! I love to come with a friend and share the Dinner Platter for 2, it’s reasonably priced considering the amount of food, and it’s the perfect variety of C-Lovers best items (prawns, onion rings, halibut).

Atmosphere: always very clean. This place may not be fancy, but who cares? The food is fantastic, and that’s what matters!

Tips: it can be very busy Friday and Saturday nights, so be prepared. If you go one of those nights, try to arrive before 5:30pm.

“We ordered a delivery of food from The Frying Irishman for an office party last week. The staff at The Frying Irishman helped out with the order for 20 people by recommending what to get and what quantities etc. The food was delivered to the office on time and it did not disappoint! We got chicken fillet rolls, chips, spice bags, battered sausages and battered mushrooms, everyone in the office was very satisfied with all of the items. My favorite item was the spice bag, it was 10/10 and I will be ordering it again! We had plenty food to feed everyone and a little bit left over that a few of us could take home for later. I should have got more photos of all the food but it didn't last too long out on the table :) Highly recommended.“
