“We were out for a walk finishing at the Ambleside seawall, so we stopped by here for a drink and treat to fuel up before walking home.
My wife had a pain au chocolat and a flat white. The pastry was very flaky and chocolaty gf not too sweet while the drink had some caffeine to help gives us energy for the wall home.
I ordered a house pressed lemonade and an almond croissant. The lemonade was refreshing but not too sweet, more tart. The croissant was so flaky and the almond paste so flavourful! They were both great after the walk!
This place is definitely worth a visit!“

“Annabelle’s is one of my favourite cafes ever!
The interior is beautifully decorated (designed and built by Annabelle and her partner I believe), and the coffee is delicious, I loved the iced americano! The hojicha latte my friend got was also really good, saying this as a hojicha hater. The pastries were also yummy, especially the guava goat cheese hand pie.
I arrived around an hour before closing on a rainy day so it was pretty slow and had the opportunity to chat with Annabelle! She is so lovely and you can tell that all the regulars love her!
I highly recommend coming to Annabelle’s if you are in the area!“
“Amazing beautifully decorated cakes of sizes for any memorable event and situation. Their creamy ganache and namelaka are definitely the best in town! Highly recommend!! 👍“

“I ordered a grazing box from Dip & Sip for my husband for Fathers Day this weekend. We both absolutely loved it. It looked beautiful, and the ingredients were so fresh and yummy. We will be ordering regularly from now on. We told all of our friends about it! Thank you so much! Sara“

“I absolutely loved my experience at Presatto! This spot feels like a hidden gem...chic, cozy, and thoughtfully curated from the space to the menu.
I tried two of their focaccia sandwiches and was blown away. The Versailles with pesto chicken, fior di latte, arugula, and sundried tomatoes was rich and flavorful without being heavy. The Marseille was my favorite: roasted turkey, creamy brie, fig jam, and crispy onions... every bite was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and everything is made with care.
I also had a glass of their fresh-pressed orange juice (yes, they have one of those amazing Euro-style OJ machines) which was so refreshing and a nice touch between bites.
They offer pastries and coffee as well, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. There's even a beautiful mural on the wall that adds to the charm of the space.
The sandwiches are definitely filling. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Highly recommend if you're looking for something casual but elevated. I'll definitely be back!“

“Worst owner to deal with. She will ignore you and instead of assisting you, calls you indecisive even though you are giving her your business... Honestly, she's the worst at any customer service and doesn't take accountability. Also, the cakes are mediocre at best.“

“I hadn't been here in ages and their desserts are still tasty.
- a great selection of assorted desserts. They even sell cakes for special occasions. We only had room for something small but next time, we'll be in for the bigger desserts. The macarons had just the right taste of not being too sweet. My favourite was the caramel macaron.
- great service
a nice vibe to the place with either indoor or outdoor seating. It's probably the only great dessert place in central downtown Vancouver.
I can't wait to go back there for more desserts.“

“I love the ciabatta and baguettes at Benchmark! However I may stop going there because I get embarrassed every time it's time to pay. I'm passed the pos machine and I have to chose what tip I'm supposed to pay. A couple of times I tipped but didn't feel right about it on my way out the door. Now I don't tip but feel cheap while the very pleasant and helpful staff is waiting for the pos machine back. I'm sorry but I have just been passed a few buns and if I start tipping at the bakery for such a short service then should I start tipping everywhere else that store staff just passes me something.“

“I visited this bakery a few times during my travels to Vancouver, and everything was always fresh and absolutely delicious! 😍 My favourites were the Cremes and cheesecake: so rich, creamy, and perfectly made 🥹🥰
And the Kürtöskalács (chimney cake)?
Just like the ones from my hometown in Transylvania. Quality check done! amazing taste, and texture! If you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend it 🤩
They also have a cute little terrace out front and a few tables inside, perfect for enjoying your treats on the spot. I actually forgot to leave a review back then, but came across their Instagram and had to share how much I loved it. Unfortunately I just found one picture. A must-visit for authentic, fresh baked goods in Vancouver! 🙌“
“I stopped by for a late afternoon latte and ended up staying for about two hours to get some work done. The coffee was excellent; smooth and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was relaxed yet lively, making it a great spot to focus or unwind. There’s a comfortable setup for working, good music at the right volume, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s the kind of café you’ll want to come back to, whether for coffee, conversation, or quiet work time.“

“It was almost closing time and cakes were only limited. I wanted to buy a mango cake for my daughter’s birthday but there’s no mango cake at the time. Owner made us for a mango cake just in 10 minutes and it was really yummy and good portion for my daughter. Thank you so much for everything!“

“Had the most amazing time, the staff was great. The tea was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place.“
“We are very excited to have a cafe in the area and during our visit we got a matcha croissant, a cuppa tiramisu, and their hojicha latte. The croissant was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was a very light and thin sweet glaze on the croissant and the flavor of the matcha was very potent. The tiramisu came in a cup, hence the name. In Chinese culture it's often said that our highest praise is, "it's not too sweet." and that perfectly applies to the tiramisu. The drink had a chocolatey note to it and was very pleasant to drink. Service was fast and personable. Their selection of pastries were plenty and would love to go back and try more.
One piece of feedback would be that we felt that there was not adequate seating. Although there were about 10 two seat tables, we saw that there was some empty floor space around a bigger table that could definitely be filled up with more seating. We don't know if it's because of capacity limits but we had to sit outside on the bench to eat. Would definitely come again and would love to see patio seating in warmer weather!!“

“I’ve been a regular customer for a long time but recently I ordered a wedding cake from Tanya. She listened to my vision and created a beautiful masterpiece for my intimate wedding. I also had to transport it on the ferry and she had it packaged so well, it arrived in one piece. From cake tasting to pickup, it was all very seamless and of course the cake tasted amazing. We chose the lemon olive oil gateau which tasted bright and not too rich. We’ll definitely order again when we have another occasion.“

“The croissant and golden brick is ok. I hope they can be softer. However, the Mont Blanc is unbelievable — very unique and delicious. It has a thin chocolate crust with lemon color and lemon flavor under the chestnut paste. The little bit scents of sour made a huge difference. Will try more cakes next time“

“We have a lot of bread and doughnuts. ^^ Next time, I'll try the cake type. There are no tables because it's crowded in the morning. It's right near Jericho. I'll see the ocean again! I highly recommend it if you're around here.“
“We recently tried Breka Bakery’s strawberry shortcake and pistachio brownie crunch both were delicious and not too sweet, which we really appreciated. I used to love their mango coconut mousse, and these new desserts are just as impressive with great flavor and texture. Don’t miss their chocolate-dipped almond cookie and coconut macaroon, too equally amazing and perfect for a sweet treat.“

“After going to the Vancouver Art Gallery, I saw the Faubourg Cafe across the street. When I went inside I was surprised at how cute and cozy it was. I absolutely loved the decor especially the chandeliers. If you are ever downtown please go there and try the peach croissant. You won’t be disappointed. 🥐“

“One of the best cakes I’ve had in my life has to be the Mango Yuzu Mousse Cake—it’s definitely the star of the show. I grabbed a few other pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate drinks for the family too, but they were just okay. Not quite on the same level, especially when compared to Faubourg when I had them in Paris. In fairness they’re presentable, but some bakeries in town would do better. Still, if I just needed something convenient, they’re not bad at all.“
