“such a premium cafe, so high end, beautiful simple and elegant decor - I absolutely adore it here? I always get an americano with skim milk and it’s so smooth, such great coffee. The little chocolates are also such a nice treat :) excellent staff, especially Nora who was so fun to chat with and helped me choose the yummiest chocolate by answering all my questions!

“During my visit to Hyderabadi Biryani House with four friends, we had a delightful dining experience that truly showcased the restaurant's expertise in traditional Indian cuisine. The garlic naan was a highlight, with its soft, fluffy texture and rich garlic flavor that perfectly complemented the meal. The veg dum biryani was equally impressive, offering a fragrant mix of spices and perfectly cooked rice that provided a satisfying, hearty dish. The veg curries were another standout, with their rich, aromatic gravies and fresh vegetables that delivered a burst of authentic flavors. The meal was a fantastic experience, with these dishes standing out as the stars of the evening.“

“I absolutely love their fresh sandwiches and soups all made from scratch and the menu is very affordable. My favourite sandwiches are the BBQ Pulled Pork and Pesto Chicken which is bursting with flavour. I love all of their soups although some of the soups are a little too salty for me. They also sell a lot of their soups in pouches that you can take home and warm up yourself which I like.“

“Homemade delicious kvass, ayran. Adjarian-style khachapuri with a knife. But there are a couple of buts.
Khinkali were unusually large and made of thick dough, significantly different from the ones we are used to in Kyiv and Tbilisi. However, I must note that the taste is excellent, there is a lot of meat and broth inside, the thick dough did not have a negative effect, in general. Also, from the negative points, I want to note the location, because it is an industrial zone and it is quite inconvenient to go there, although on the other hand, if the weather allows you to sit outside, you get a beautiful view of the mountains and planes flying low before landing. For some reason the venue played French music instead of Georgian/Armenian, not bad, just an unexpected choice.
I especially want to note the owner, he accepted and delivered orders. A very very friendly man. Creates a friendly home atmosphere. In general, these are the kind of people you want to go back to for dinner/lunch. And we will definitely do it.“

“Ramen Kounotori is a good choice for late late sunny afternoons or even early evenings for the following reasons: the high ceilings, the beautiful decor, the mixture of post modern chic tones of concrete, pastel, wood, and blue. It’s a mixture of a warm and cool, postmodern vibe. The ramen is tasty, up until now the first three choices have been savoured with relish and delight. Service is most charming accompanied by smiles, good wishes & pleasant sounding nihon-rhythmic flourishes. At the end of the week, and later in the evenings, the café is well attended. Ramen here can be well appreciated on a cold fall day, but no less during the rest of the year with any weather.“

“I’ve been eating soup from the Stock Market for many years, and to be honest it’s been an experience marked by inconsistency in service, quality, and sustainability. I couldn’t write a review because one day I was disappointed, and the next I couldn’t have been a happier customer. I feel that now I can finally write a review, because over the last year I’ve had nothing but consistently friendly service, excellent soup, and lately they’ve introduced reusable bowls and spoons, eliminating the single-use containers and plastic spoons that so often meant I’d look for another lunch option.
The effort and expense involved in choosing a sustainable business model can’t be overstated – there’s a lot more labour involved in washing and storing reusable bowls and spoons, and most shops couldn't be bothered. But in choosing to be more sustainable, they’ve become a lunch spot I’ll be choosing much more often.
I’ve noticed a couple unfair comments from other reviewers about the soup being bland – that’s a little petty and unfair. Some may prefer soup that’s exploding with spice of flavour, but consider that not everyone does. Common sense dictates that they provide a modestly spiced soup that more people can enjoy. I certainly enjoy it, and if I want more flavour I’ll go make my own. In fact, both my girlfriend and I find that most soup spots way over-salt their soup, and the fact that Stock Market doesn’t is something we’re both thankful for.
The quality, serving size, fresh ingredients, and delicious focaccia bread for dipping make for a perfect midday meal to fuel your Granville Island wandering. We also bring home their bagged soup as well, and it's just as good as fresh while also being a great item to stock the freezer with for those times you really want an easy and healthy meal. We’ll continue making the Stock Market a regular stop on our weekly GI visits.“

The food menu is absolutely fantastic for a coffee house. You could have breakfast, lunch and dinner items and they all look healthy. My breakfast sandwich was tasty.“

“Stopped for lunch at Stanley Park. There are tables inside the store. It was a chicken/egg sandwich, and it was really delicious, living up to the high rating. I can't eat cilantro, but I think there was some cilantro in the chicken sandwich. The bread was crispy, the amount of sauce was just right, and the vegetables were fresh, making it an enjoyable lunch.“

“Both my sister and I visited and purchased food several times at the Purple Grain. My Father was at VGH. I'm a vegan and my sister an omnivore. This is some of the healthiest and most delicious food I've had in a while. It was a lovely surprise to find this gem and I would highly recommend it. Also Ami and Francesco are the most wonderful hosts. An awesome place with lovely people. If everyone ate like this, in the long run......I bet you could eventually cut the hospital patient load dramatically.“

“It’s a family owned business. I see their young son helping his parents during his summer break everyday. He was very happy and even though my weight estimate was off, he gave me a hint and let me guess again for a chance to receive it for free. I was still wrong though haha. Very sweet, I will support this business again.“

“I had an overnight stay in Vancouver, and a quick check on Google maps that showed me how close this restaurant was to my hotel. I decided to give it a try, and I’m so excited that I did. It seems like a bit of a hidden gem, tucked in off the main sidewalk. I’m glad I had my Google maps to help me find it. It was around 7 PM, there was one table with four people eating, but it seems like many takeout orders were being set up. I was greeted very promptly and friendly, I decided on dinner combo D. It was so delicious, more than enough food for some leftovers! Extremely friendly and super quick service. The food was piping hot. Large portions, love the abundance of pineapple with the sweet-and-sour pork! My favorite! The price was very comparable for the amount of food and the quality. Would definitely come back next time I’m in Vancouver.“

“I should come to this restaurant earlier ! It’s yummy and big size dishes and if you spend over $50 you can get a half soya chicken of $10 ! Great value and the taste over averages!
It’s happy to come for the food ! But only one thing I wanna recommend the owner to get some new cover for the old chairs!“

“I fell in love with that cafe. Everything was delicious. The only bad thing is the doors. It is wintertime, and so many people comes in to the mall, and the wind is coming inside every second. Napkins are flying because of the wind, and I'm cold 🥶

“Considering inflation and the prices in Vancouver, this place will fill your stomach with reasonable price. Portion is good with plenty of meat in the sandwich and tastes quite good while doing that.

“The ramen here is alright here are my notes.
-the noodles were really good , like it's the noodles you would have in japan , other places don't have this kinda noodle around here. The noodles were probably the highlight of the meal.
-chashu was solid, it was flavorful but not tender enough.
-soup was the downside though, it didn't really taste distinct. It felt like water and the flavor , instead of pork broth and the flavor.
-the price for a regular is 17, @ other places it would only be 15 for an even bigger portion that would come with an egg. After eating the meal it just didn't feel satisfying for the cost.
-service is alright , food came really really fast
All in all , I would come again if someone was paying for me.“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year. The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food. The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“Decided to try this place for lunch. I had the kale Caesar salad. It was really good. The dressing amount was perfect.
I also tried the Mac and cheese pulled pork. It was good. Just really heavy (as expected). I likely will not have it again and stick to their more healthier sandwiches… the chicken one.
Overall the food was good. The only negative is that they do not wear gloves when preparing the food and I did not see the employee wash her hands right before preparing my sandwhich. As humans we have a tendency to touch different areas of our faces regularly so that kinda grossed me out as I don’t know where her hands have been. And yes, I’m aware it’s the same at some restaurants. I guess I just prefer not to see it so I don’t think about it.“

“Had the New Yorker sandwich with add turkey. Oh WOW!! So happy I stopped on in! The music brought me back along with the tastes of New York deli meats, cheeses, that grainy mustard and sweet sauce... And that bread!!! Topped it off with a coke and happy thoughts and vibes!! Definately going back to chomp down on a few other sandwiches I so want to devour!!
Vegetarian options: There's a veggie sandwich, salads and soups!
Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome. Gots cookies and pops.
Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, open tables, accessable! Good for walkers too!!“

“Food:
Overall, the foods were like having a delicious homecooked Filipino feast with generous portions!
I chose a lunch special; they gave an in-house soup as a complimentary appetizer. It does remind me of having a veggie & Chinese shark fin soup, and it does taste great — it compensates my time of waiting for the main course 🍲
Then the pork adobo w/ lumpiang meal combo arrived. They were so savoury, really flavourful, and all well-cooked! Definitely an excellent value and worth the try 🍛 The portion size was like 2 servings worth, so it may be worth bringing a lunch box if eating alone (they charge $1 / container).
Then I had the buko pandan sherbet for dessert. It had just the right amount of sweetness and a nice coconuty creaminess. It's like a milkshake, but Filipino edition. 🍧 Also, it was a tall cup worth nearly 2 servings!
However, my only slight dislike was some handful of bubble tea pearls having the undercooked, gritty texture on their inner-center. I don't mind since that is a tolerable minor issue.
Service:
I went for a one person dine-in. After going through the menu, I waited for over 10 minutes, while seeing a group of patrons who were after me, already being serviced. Then I put my coat on and was about to leave till a server lady quickly attended me—I finally had my order taken. Moreover, the server staff don't really check up on the patrons, so I'd have to grab their attention if I wanted something. But they were cordial nonetheless, since they did, at least, provide the takeout containers as requested. In conclusion, the service can be frustrating at the start even if it's not too busy—from my own experience.“

“I've lived just a couple blocks away from Tractor for years, but for some reason haven't stopped in before recently. That was a terrible mistake, as this place is awesome.
We've had lunch here a few times now, and it's always delicious whatever we have. The salads are the picture of freshness, and the soup/sandwich combo always impresses. Especially when enjoyed while sitting on their nice little patio.
Our last visit we had the meatball sandwich, and I'm tempted to have it again for lunch today. Paired with the lentil soup, it's about as tasty and healthy as a casual lunch can get.
As a bonus, the place is kept very clean, the staff is super friendly, and they have proper water glasses instead of plastic – an environmentally mindful touch we don't overlook. We're regulars now, and definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for some great food in Kits.“

“An absolute gem of a Hong Kong-style restaurant! They had some of the most iconic HK noodles and non-soup entrées.
I loved that they could let me choose pork intestines or any other meat topping for my noodle soup. I ordered laksa and I found it perfectly hot and spicy and creamy. The hot milk tea was so delicious and more rich than that at other HK places in Vancouver.
Although we were the last ones there with 5 minutes to go until last call, they let us take our time eating until closing time. However, because they had finished cleaning and were chatting while waiting for us to finish, I felt like I should hurry to be respectful of their time. Next time, I would love to come for lunch and spend more time here. I was told their fish soup is amazing, so that’s what I’ll try next time.“

“Came here to watch UFC 313. Speakers were very loud, almost too loud to hold conversation at the table. Service was okay.
Most annoying thing was we ordered the 4 cheese melt and menu clearly indicates it comes with tomato soup. Our server never asked about the side and it came with fries.
Took forever for her to come back and she acted surprised when we inquired about the soup. It’s commented etiquette to ask about the side, no? Fries were nothing special so kind of killed the vibe on the food.
Otherwise everything was just okay“

“Nice restaurant with very friendly staff.
As a vegetarian, the options are limited to vegetarian sushi and some appetizers. The noodles with vegetables is ok too.
The udan vegetarian soup has fish powder in it and the teriyaki souce has beef stock.
Despite limited vegetarian options, we had a good time in this restaurant 😋
Vegetarian options: Very limited but tasty.“
