Thunderbird Café Reviews
The venison chilli and salmon bannock panini were amazing!!! Everything was delicious and I’m so happy we found this spot!
This is a little cafe next to the museum gift shop, the whole building is cool to explore. While I ate my bannock taco (good venison chili here) there was some ceremonial performance happening. Everyone who worked there had a genuine smile and basically beamed benevolence and welcome. If you want to grab a quick snack you would be well to make a stop here!
Very good salmon chowder and latte. The Bannock is their fry bread which is really good. Also very nice gift shop with handmade stuff.

**Thunderbird Café** is a little cafe next to the museum gift shop inside the Squamish/Lillooet Cultural Centre. The whole building is cool to explore. Located on the lower level, no ticket is needed to enter the cafe or gift shop. This is a beautiful cafe with great food and reasonable prices. The staff have genuine smiles and beam welcome. The café offers healthy, balanced meals, including the Lil'wat Venison Chili, the Salmon Grilled Panini, and the Bannock Taco. The bannock (fried dough) is super tasty and the chili is flavourful. The donuts are fantastic. The salads and bites are really nice, and the coffee is great. The gift shop has incredible artist and environmentally conscious offerings, along with local food items like candied salmon bites. The cultural centre museum above is stunning and informative. This is a must-visit in Whistler for a quick snack or a delicious lunch.
