Jimmy John's, Taco John's, and Hardee's Jump on Value Menu Trend

Many fast food chains now offer attractive value meals to customers, and this value menu competition is only heating up as Jimmy John's, Hardee's, and Taco John's jump on the bandwagon. These chains announced new deals to go toe-to-toe with McDonald's, Burger King, and others.

Jimmy John's new $10 "Total Package Meal" combo gives you a filling meal at a low price. Launched on August 5, this limited-time offer includes an 8-inch Original sandwich, chips, a dessert (cookie or brownie), and a drink - items that would usually cost over $11.

Hardee's is also bringing back "The Hardee's Original Bag" for $5.99. You can choose two entrées like a Hot Ham & Cheese sandwich or a Double Cheeseburger, plus fries and a drink. Last time this deal was available in 2017.

Taco John's has a $7 "Meal Steal" - two tacos, a Nacho Crunch Beef Burrito, Potato Olés, and a drink. It's only available to order online or on the app, and it's meant to compete with Taco Bell's $7 Luxe Box.

These new value meals are going up against already launched offerings from McDonald's, Burger King, Jack in the Box, and others.

KFC is in the game as well. They offer similar deals ranging from a $4.99 meal for one to a $20 family pack.

The value menus come at a time when inflation is on the rise, and restaurant traffic is slowing. And though value deals have always been popular, unfortunately, they have become a financial necessity for some customers in today's economy.
