Mark Wahlberg Launches Upscale Mexican Restaurant in California

Mark Wahlberg has opened a huge new Mexican-American restaurant called Flecha Cantina in Huntington Beach.

The nearly 10,000 square foot space is located inside the Bella Terra shopping center. It features a menu filled with Mexican favorites like ceviche, taquitos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas and more. There's even a special Sunday brunch buffet with stations for carnitas, chorizo eggs, and other breakfast items.

Flecha Cantina aims to be a whole experience with margaritas, cocktails, live music and DJ nights planned. Wahlberg, known for movies like The Departed and The Fighter, as well as his rap career as Marky Mark, will make an appearance in June for the restaurant's big grand opening event.

Flecha Cantina joins other celebrity-owned dining spots in Orange County, like Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo, Tony Hawk's GuacAmigos, and Teemu Selanne's steakhouse. It's Wahlberg's first foray into upscale Mexican cuisine after co-owning the Wahlburgers burger chain with his brothers.

"I am thrilled to introduce this new creative venture, which embodies my passion for exceptional cuisine and dynamic entertainment," Wahlberg said. The menu and drinks will highlight locally-sourced ingredients prepared by international chefs and mixologists.

A second Flecha Cantina location is already in the works for Las Vegas, expected to open later this year. For now, SoCal residents can get their fix of Wahlberg's Mexican flair at the Huntington Beach restaurant, which had its soft opening on May 7th.
