“So glad to find Poki Poki has a location in Carlsbad. I was trudging out to the Oceanside locations for my poke fix, but this is much closer. The food is just as delicious as the other locations.

I always get the seared ahi as one of my proteins, which comes in thick wedges. The servings are generous, a regular size bowl is easily two meals for me. The staff here is friendly, the fish is fresh, the location is right across the street from the beach, and they serve beer here too. What's not to love?“

“absolutely delicious Chinese food my wife and I share chicken with vegetables, beef and string green beans and they were both fantastic. The meat was so tender. The spice was perfect and the service was magnificent. We’re from Portland and we love this place.“

“The food was great. Each plate is enough for two people, the 4 plates and rice were perfect. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. It was a Tuesday evening, so they were not to busy. The waitress was right on Q with everything we ordered.“

“An excellent place for a first date. It’s quiet enough to talk, yet not so quiet that it feels awkward. The lighting is soft and romantic, and the drink selection is fantastic — especially if you’re into wines or classy cocktails. I appreciated the attention to detail: the garnishes were fresh, glassware elegant, and even the water was served with a cucumber slice. That’s how you know they care about presentation. We stayed for almost three hours, just talking and sipping. Will definitely come back.“

“Food was delicious, unusual offerings for Encinitas. Staff was friendly. Too noisy to have a conversation and too dark to tell if there was still food on the the share plates. Also, there was no beer on draft and a very limited wine selection. I would go back for a casual night out for two.“

I shared the 2 x $25 meal (gyu-don and chicken karaage) and a salmon poke bowl. Karaage was super light and crispy and the gyu-don was exactly what I was imagining. The salmon poke bowl also great, with a mix of raw and seared salmon. The seared salmon was a great touch! Overall, everything was delicious and very good portions. I will definitely be returning to try some other menu items!“

If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! We have also dabbled with most of their chicken and beef dishes; all have been fantastic! The owner, Lee, is an outstanding guy. Always amazing service with a smile. His staff always goes out of the way to make your dining experience memorable and pleasurable. They’ve made us feel like family from the beginning. We tried to get in 2 different times but they were full.
On the 3rd try we understood why it's so crowded the food was fabulous. Hubby got drunken noodles loved them and I had Crispy Chickee and loved it also.

“We absolutely love Birdseye Kitchen! The imperial rolls are some of the best around — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. The chicken pho is a must-try; the broth is rich and comforting, and the portions are generous. Every time we visit, the service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and fast. The restaurant has a warm and relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for both lunch and dinner. Definitely one of our favorite local spots, and we can’t wait to come back!“
