“Loved everything that we tried. Tea leaf salad, coconut noodle soup, sushis, chilli shrimp. The owner was super helpful as well despite a very busy day. Great to see Burmese cuisine spot in San Diego as it is one of our favorite Asian cuisines.“
“Been here a couple of times before the theater. Love that it is so convenient. Menu a but pricey and sushi is ok, not amazing. Again come for the convenience. House wine is Opolo and is a great choice. Would be nice if they had a happy hour or specials for the theater goers.“
“It's perplexing to see negative reviews without specific details on dishes. Having worked at Hithai for five years, it's a personal favorite, especially for the fantastic Pork Chop and Panang curry sandwich. The Thai Tom Yum Noodle Soup and Egg Noodle BBQ pork are also top picks. Criticizing the prices seems unjust, as these dishes are reasonably priced at $5 for to-go orders. If you're seeking a great atmosphere, La Jolla on Garnet St or Pearl St has many Thai restaurants, albeit at a higher cost of $30-$50 per person. Personally, I give Hithai a 5-star rating for its delicious food and the friendly service, with special mention to Stan, the excellent manager, and his amiable staff.“
“Food was good, salmon nigiri was buttery! Chicken Teriyaki skillet portion seemed a bit smaller compared to other locations though. Atmosphere was great, some tables even get an ocean view! Server forgot to bring a couple of items we asked for (sauces) but not a big deal. Overall a great place to visit, especially for the character buns ?“
