“WOW! This place is phenomenal! Worth the drive and worth the price. My husband and I split the tomahawk and it was like BUTTER! So tender! I had the Cowboy Wake Up Call Old Fashioned and it was AMAZING! They safeguard their recipes and I can see why! This cocktail is one of my favorite bourbon cocktails I have ever had! The grits are also so flavorful and many people in our party (who don't even like grits) raved about the flavor of them.“

“4/2/2024 - Don't get out to the Acres very often but heard that the Iron Cactus was good so decided to give it a try. East to find next to Van Dam Farms and it looked nice & comfortable inside. Server Kelly was quick to seat us and take our drink order. It was lunch time so we my wife ordered chef's salad w/bacon & avocado added and I had the beef dip sandwich w/steak fries. Wasn't long before food arrived and it looked very good. The salad was huge (enough for a couple of meals) and the sandwich and fries were also large. The salad was very fresh and the beef dip was very tasty, definitely one of the best in the valley and the steak fries were fresh and crisp. We both needed take out boxes. Service was excellent, food was fresh and very good. Next time we'll try the dinner menu. Will definitely be back. They accept credit cards, have a large bar, huge whisky list, cocktails, some wine.“

“Typically waitresses and or the barmaid will cook your meals and they do a great job. There is one waitress who handles just the cooking on Friday nights and she does a fantastic job. I don't know her name but I'd be glad to. I really like this place. I hope it remains the same as long as I'm out here.“

The pizzas, Korma dish, and every menu item is good and to be quite honestl there isn't one thing that we haven't just loved. Drinks, food and service are top notch. “Still has the ghost town, fire pit, and outbuildings from the days of The Trap but the decor is less western and the staff and crowd are much younger than our I recall. Lively place with open mic on a Tuesday. Prices are a bit steeper under the new ownership than they used to be. The manager bought me a shot and toasted me.Bartenders don't drink on the job, at least not openly. Definitely an improvement from what it used to be except for the prices.“

“When you crave a great hot dog this is the place to go. I order the Reservoir Dog because it's their chilli dog and it's delicious! Just the right spicyness along with the sweetness of Hawaiian bread bun. Love this place. Just wish the service was quicker.“
