“I can not express how impressed and blown away I was visiting Neptune’s today “on accident”. I was driving past neptunes today and we ran into car trouble right in front. We got out and pushed the car into the nearest parking lot which happened to be neptunes. We had just bought a used car in the neighborhood and was trying to make it home and the battery just died. We spent some time pulling out the battery and ran next door to the auto parts store to buy a new one. Out of the blue an employee walked us out some water and said “I saw you out here and it’s hot. Wanted to give you some water and ask if you needed help. “ blown away by his kindness I thanked him but we had it covered. Once we got the battery replaced I decided to get breakfast from Neptune’s to show my thanks for their hospitality. Wow was I blown away. The breakfast was amazing , the coffee on point and the hospitality was unmatched. I give 5 stars for all in. My youngest son said. That guy is a good man! And I agree if you’re looking for good service and great food. Stop here! You won’t regret it.“

“Really enjoyed my time here a few months ago. I forgot to write a review, but I recall it was a delicious dinner, and I wished I had more room for food. I spoke the small amount of broken Thai I knew, and they were very appreciative of it. I look forward to returning.“

“Melvin and the owner were incredibly warm and thoughtful. Haven't been on this side of the lake in a while, so felt like seeing old friends.
Melvin delivered kind service, honest and fun to talk to. Got a great seat by the windows overlooking the lake. Can't beat the view!
Coffee was hot and mimosas were tasty. Very much enjoyed my Benedict, opted for scrambled eggs instead of poached.

“Visited Oakland for a show and woke up hungry so we scanned numerous breakfast places and their reviews. We decided to walk from Marriott hotel to Oakland Grill and we were happy we did. The food and service was TOP tier!! The staff were so super friendly!“

“Not bad! Definitely room for improvement. Very few gluten-free options. They were out of both flavored matcha drinks. These points were both disappointing for my partner. The menu says they have pastries, but our server said they only have them on weekdays, not on weekends, which doesn’t make any sense. I would assume a brunch restaurant would be the busiest on weekends… But ultimately the food we had tasted good, and it’s a very cute place. I used to get breakfast at Lakeshore Cafe, so I’m glad for its replacement.“

“We had our 25 yr high school reunion here. It was a lovely set up and all the staff was amazing. The food was yummy. I only had the vegetarian options so to be fair I asked others about the rest of the menu and they all said it was good! The scenery is gorgeous and it's a wonderful event space ✨️ the staff went above and beyond to make our night special and it was just that. We were able to have a photo booth and have a live show playing on all the televisions in the restaurant. Our DJ was great and it really was a whole vibe. The restrooms were clean and tidy ❤️ beautiful venue. I want to check them out on another occasion.“

“Delicious, fresh and wholesome food! We were visiting from out of town and just googled breakfast in Berkeley, and this place popped up. So glad we chose it, because our food was delicious. Our group had the lox bagel, breakfast burrito, and the jumpstart breakfast with pancakes and bacon. Everything was quality and cooked well. The smoothies and espresso drinks were also great!“
