* I ordered the sangria, buffalo cauliflower, and mac and cheese and was really happy with my choices. The only negative was waiting about half an hour for the food, but the views and sangria make this a great happy-hour spot.

The patio has great views of Lake Merritt, which made the whole experience that much better.“

“When I look inside Oakland Grill the place is usually packed. But whenever I come here to have a big breakfast, it isn't. I think that is because I usually come here on weekdays. Street parking is also easier when I come here. Only a five minute walk to Jack London Square. I miss the Broadway Shuttle to connect from here to Uptown, or Downtown for entertainment. When I dine at Oakland Grill, I can choose between sitting at the low bar, or at a booth. Lots of familiar dishes on the menu.“

“So good! Everything is made from scratch so it's going to take a little longer. Well worth the wait. We enjoyed the Creme Brulee French toast. Delicious. The handmade pasta with the seared prawns was amazing. The chicken and waffles was also delicious. The drinks were good and we were happy. The manager/Chef is very nice and accommodating. We will be back! I wish they were open during the week for lunch! Soon I hope! Paws crossed!“
