“The place is gorgeous, especially if you love a nice terrace. The food... Is it because it's the only middle Eastern gluten free place, or is it because the ingredients are fresh, or is it because the preparation is perfect, or maybe it's all the small details... I think it's all of the above, one of the best middle Eastern places in LA, and the best gluten free one :) enjoy their manahish!“
“Trendy 21st century meets old Pasadena. I love the design and decor of this place. This is a great spot for orderves and drinks. The owner, is a solid guy who genuinely cares about the people around him, his restaurant and customers.Go support a good man!“
“I’ve been coming here since it opened, and the food have been consistent every single time. They’re known for their teriyaki bowls, it’s the best option in my opinion. Cant go wrong w the popcorn chicken either! They’re extremely kind and they’ve provided amazing service and food since I was 14“
“After reading the reviews, it's unbelievable that those people were talking about this place. Those bad reviews must be competitors taking jabs.I walked up to the menu on the door and took a peek. The options looked good and the prices are fair. I walked in with my quirky son. Paolo was friendly and treated my son like a person. I ordered the Chilaquiles, half expecting an American Vegan version. We had a nice conversation about the Mexican Revolution and business.I ordered a Lavender Honey Latte for the wait. It was hot and tasty. Yum! I waited about 15 minutes with a beautiful view of the lake, cute puppies jogging by, geese and ducks quacking softly around me.My food was delish and pretty authentic. The arugula Americanized it, but the rest of it was tasty and as close to home made as can be."Good things come to those who wait." People need to relax.Vegetarian options: It's mostly vegetarian. Some Vegan options available.“
“I love this place. I have been ordering food here for years. Everything that I have tried from their menu is delicious. The staff has always been friendly. The only thing that frustrates me are the hours. I can never seem to catch when it is open anymore. Also wish they would take orders to go again.“
“At night, The Lakeview Bistro turns into a Mexican themed restaurant. They have their own menu of Mexican favorites. There is a jukebox that plays Mexican favorite songs. It's been open for about 3 months. Surprisingly certain items were VERY GOOD and authentic. I recommend the Queso Fundido, Caldo de Pollo, Caldo de Fideo and Roasted Elote -Mexican style. It was homemade with super tasty with fresh ingredients. Yummy. But chips were a bit stail. The restaurant bar is sub par since they only have Smirnoff vodka and limited wine selection, but overall if you order tequila and certain appetizers or soups, it's delicious here. Service was nice and friendly. It's a nice different touch at night from The normal Westin bistro vibe.“
“Went for high tea, and definitely had a wonderful time! Loved the decor and the peaceful ambience (we were there early on Sunday so we beat the crowd and were able to enjoy the harpist's performance to the fullest). Food was great; they had more savory items than sweets, which was a good difference than most high tea places. I only wished there were more scones.“
“We arrived about 20 minutes before closing at their 9pm close time. The host said it would be a limited menu available since their kitchen was starting to close up. I appreciated the news upfront and we decided to stay. Seated right away and server quickly came out. He explained if we ordered right then he could have the kitchen make whatever we wanted. We only needed a light bite so got the corn chowder by the cup, side of French bread and for dessert a delicious bread pudding. Everything was tasty and server was extremely friendly and quick to serve.“
“We love the food and the couple that owns the restaurant. They are friendly hard working people.Parking: The parking is in the back. They have about 3 or 4 spots available. But there is free street parking in the front and a free parking lot that is walking distance with plenty of parking spots available usually.Kid-friendliness: They are kid and family friendly. Our kids love the farfalle pasta, and our waitress.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp from the parking lot to the restaurant, great for wheelchairs and strollers. They have enough space in the restaurant to fit with a stroller without being an inconvenience to others.“
