Hands down one of the most authentic Chinese food you can get in California.I ordered the Chili garlic pork slice, Kung Pao Chicken and the sweet and sour croaker fish. All of the flavors are pretty spot on, the only thing that I could point out is the texture of the pork slices are a bit soft. Not to mention for the food this quality the price is very reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants that doesn’t have good enough flavors.Definitely a place I would go back to, probably by tomorrow.

I've been eating here quite a bit now probably 4:00 or 7 times and it's been very good. I ordered something new today and I'll post it but I did not like the scallion pancake tasted like Frozen from the grocery store that they just fried. Other than that the rest of the food was good. Service as always great clean place and will be coming back for more.

Food is so delicious and it tastes like wax. Can’t believe the price is so friendly - could have just taken my money without giving me any food. Two people cost 100 dollars. The scallion pan cake is soaked with cooking oil and generosity.

The food was average, the shepherd's purse rice cake I ordered was particularly unpalatable, with a lot of salt. There are no special dishes.

The fried ribs were all bone and grissel. The black cod was so bony it wasn't edible. You should de-bone black cod before cooking! The mixed vegetable stir-fry was like frozen Birds-Eye!

Great Shanghainese food in the SGV! Service was on point and all the dishes were hot and very tasty. Plus, the atmosphere is very spacious and elegant, which isn’t always the case when eating Chinese food.

Do not believe the other reviews. You get 5% discount for reviewing them on Yelp or Google. We had the shimmering shrimp and the only characteristic thing of it was sugar, there is no depth no amount of redeeming it. We also had the salt duck which was ok. Wonton soup might have been. The most edible dish we had. The raw crab was a bit too much MSG. The Pork Abalone dish was ok. The scallion noodles with shrimp roe was bad as the noodles were overcooked and you could barely taste the shrimp roe and scallion . The braised sea cucumber was quite a vile dish that was not properly prepared, it needed more braising and cleaning. It was so bad that we left the leftovers in their parking lot. Please do not visit this establishment.

This place is really, really good. Authentic, scrumptious, mouth watering. In a sea of Chinese restaurants, this place stands out.I'm just pissed my family's been eating here for months and never told me about it.

Jiang Nan Spring is like this cool, unexpected fusion that's hard to pin down. You'd think it's all about classic Shanghai or Hangzhou dishes, but nope, they take it up a notch. They mix in Taiwanese and Sichuan flavors and throw in some bold choices like boiled fish and dry pot. Their flamming pig's intestine is a crowd-pleaser, no doubt.Despite its Michelin star, the prices won't break the bank. It's upscale but approachable, with service and cleanliness that outshine many in San Gabriel. The decor? It's this chic blend of East and West, with spacious private rooms perfect for business dinners or a family feast. For my partner, who's been on a Shanghai cuisine kick, I ordered the Suzhou-style Smoked Fish, Spare Ribs in Lotus Leaf, Madam Sung's Fish Soup, and Shanghai Fried Thick Noodles. The smoked fish was thick and flavorful, reminiscent of the ones from my childhood memories. The fish soup was fresher than any I've had before, and the steamed pork ribs? They were tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned - a real treat for meat lovers. In a nutshell, Jiang Nan Spring offers more than just good food; it's about the entire dining experience. The dishes are worth coming back for, and while they might not blow your mind, they'll definitely leave you satisfied. Next time, I'm eyeing the Seaweed Flavored Fried Fish and Smoked & Fresh Pork Warm Soup - they seem to be fan favorites. And I'm curious about their Taiwanese dishes too.

Actually came here for Lunar New Year lunch earlier this year, and thought the food was just okay and not really memorable. Place is clean and there's a parking lot in the back though.

No wonder this place is always packed and is award winning (Michelin Bib Gourmand 2021). I've driven past this place countless times, but finally stopped in for dinner tonight.First impression was good - friendly staff greeting you in entry, white table cloths on tables, clean, and modern. The food was good! I got steamed croaker with mustard greens, the supreme meatball, and xiao long bao. The fish was good, very fresh and well steamed. The meatball was delicious in the brown sauce. I'd pass on the dumplings because they all suck too each other and broke open, so they ended up being soup-less.Free parking in the back. Come check it out!

The group decided to try a new restaurant and came across this place. I wasn't sure what to expect seeing all the signs about Michelin Inspector Discovery and Bib Gourmand but pleasantly surprised. We got the Supreme Meatball, which was good and comes with a surprise egg yolk in the middle. Not much of a surprise if you are reading this review. Lol.We also got the XLB and all the wrappers stuck together. so getting one resulted in ripes wrappers with all the juices running out of it. Flavor-wise, I'd skip the XLB. You can get better elsewhere.Steamed Croaker with mustard greens was the last dish. I fish was done well. The veggies were chopped up to small pieces in top of the fish. I was expecting more substantial veggies but that's ok. Overall the dish was good enough to get again.
