Last night my husband said, "let's get some pastry in the morning." I'm always down for pastry, so I got on yelp to find a bakery. Saffron popped up with great reviews and drool-worthy pictures. It did not disappoint! The folks are lovely and welcoming and the cases filled with enticing treats. We tried 4 pastries and a loaf of still warm sourdough bread. I wish I had a second stomach so I could eat more! Give it a try, you won't regret it!
Picked up a few pastries for friends heading home on a road trip. We got a cinnamon bun, pistachio cream filled choux pastry, basque cheesecake, almond croissant, and a crunchy pastry filled with rosewater cream. The pastries all tasted fresh. I really enjoyed the light texture of the pistachio choux pastry. My friend said they were all tasty on their ride home. The restaurant was clean and the service was quick

The owner of the bakery is such a lovely gentleman, and literally everything I've ever had from here has been absolutely delicious. Even coming in later in the day, there's always a great selection of delicious treats, and excellent service. As a long time aficionado of BREAD over in Santa Ana, I have to say....I come to Saffron for my baguettes now. No shade to bread, they're still amazing! But the baguette here is worthy of it's own review!
