“The lady behind the counter was very nice. I ordered a chocolate bar donut and it was really yummy, she also gave me an extra half a donut. I sat inside to eat and multiple times I saw people walk in who were very obviously regulars, she said their order asking if that's what they wanted, she also gave them extra donuts as well.“
“My favorite was the butter pecan donut. I loved the donuts in general, they were different than typical donuts, more fluffy and airy. I didn't like them super fresh out of the fryer since they tend to be a bit oily, liked them when they sat for about 15 minutes. Not a big time difference but a big taste difference.“
“This place is really great. Affordable and adorable. Reminds you of mama's kitchen. The pastries are truly keto friendly but also great for those who don't like their pastries overly sweet. As a person who is diabetic I highly enjoyed it. The muffin top, tres leches, and the pecan Sandie is delicious. The staff is amazing their amazing. I would highly recommend you if your reading this to go show your support and give them a try.“
“A donut shop is not just a donut shop! YES Donuts puts donuts on the map for me. Their donuts are fresh and fluffy and glazed just perfectly. Finger licking good donuts! Besides their awesome donuts, they offer a variety of breakfast and lunch bites. I absolutely love their breakfast burritos. And when I'm not in the mood for a burrito, they met me in the middle and were able to make me a breakfast bowl! All the goodies without the flour tortilla. Don't skip on the salsa, because it's really good! Oh and the portions, let's just say, you won't get shorted. My kids love their ham & cheese croissants. They also love their boba drinks. They have an awesome Thai Tea and Milk Tea. My husband loves their lox bagels for three reasons: damn good, generous portion, fresh! Their breakfast sandwiches are also pretty awesome! I've even had their breadless tuna/egg salad sandwich, all that delicious protein thrown on a bed of spinach. If I haven't sold you yet, not only do they offer great food, but their customer service is over the top. They know every one by name! Try it !!!!“
“Went there once, they gave my wife and I each a free pastry. The old fashioned we got was delicious as well as the jalapeño cream cheese roll. Will be coming back to try the lumpias.Only negative is that a donut and two pastries cost just under $10.“
“Donut Star is absolutely amazing! They have delicious donuts, super friendly staff, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The donuts are freshly made and packed with flavour, and their coffee and other beverages are the perfect way to complete the experience. I would highly recommend Donut Star to anyone looking for a great place to grab some donuts and relax. They were also very accommodating of my dietary needs and accommodations, and they made sure to not cross-contaminate anything. 5 stars, all the way!“
“Mom and pop place. Nice couple and feiendly. Good flow of custimers. Spouse and myself traveling out of town( work related for spouse). His has been here 3 days in a row bought 2 dozens of donuts and a dozen of bagels for office people a shop crew. The donuts are not greasy and light.Parking: Area is safe and other businesses in the same plaza.“
“Perfect little spot for those late night donut cravings! They always taste fresh and there's always a decent selection, even at night. Love the aesthetic and they're super friendly. Right now they have a check-in promotion where you get a free classic donut so stop by and enjoy a free treat, plus a few more!“
“The worker was very helpful. Order chocolate crossiant and it was heated. I also ordered honeydew smoothie Boba but Boba was out so just honeydew and it taste so good. The worker did say sorry for not having Boba. He was very considerate. On the chocolate crossiant bag it had donut holes which I didn't order. Thanks! Very helpful and considerate to the customers“
“While waiting for my wife to be finished with her appointment, I needed a snack to satisfy my sweettooth. So I used my trusty Yelp app to search for donut shops in the area. Dot & Dough - Brea popped up, and it was only 2 miles away from where I was. So off I went to check them out. Dot & Dough is located in a busy strip mall. Luckily I snagged a parking spot fairly close. The shop is cute with a few tables to dine at, and a small display case. To my surprise, they do not make classic American style donuts. Nope, they make mochi donuts which I am not too fond of. Fortunately, though, they do make Malasadas which I am a fan of. I was told from the friendly young lady assisting me that it takes about 20 minutes to prepare the Malasadas. I did not mind cause I still had an hour to kill before picking up my lovely wifey. Went ahead and ordered 3 different Malasadas. Vanilla Malasada was hot and fresh. It was packed with vanilla cream, and it tasted delicious. Highly recommend! Classic Malasada tasted delicious too! No filling needed for their malasadas! I liked this even better than the Vanilla Malasada! Apple Pie Malasada was my favorite of the three. It was also packed with filling! So much so that it was just oozing out with every bite I took. I must have looked like a total slob while eating it at their shop. Did not care cause they tasted GREAT!!!! Have to say that these were the BEST Malasadas that I've ever eaten on the mainland! Maybe because I ate them when they were warm and fresh was the reason they tasted so damn good. Either way, I highly recommend trying the Malasadas at Dot & Dough!“
“Came in today to get some ham and cheese croissants. The lady at the front helped me out and I let her know that I was not from around here. She was super friendly and charismatic. She threw in a free doughnut!! I would definitely come again. She showed me her proud People's Love you on Yelp Recognition.“
“Ever since moving to Orange, this has been my go to place for bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The food is always fresh and they have plenty of items for decent prices. In addition, the staff is friendly and so nice every time I come here to order something. They always seem to strike a conversation with every customer and it almost seems like they are friends with everyone. Sprinkles Donut is unassuming on the outside, but every time I come here in the morning, and although my encounter with the staff is fast, and I don't speak much, I leave feeling in a better mood with a fresh bagel in my hands every time I come here for a to go breakfast.“
“Best classic donuts I've had in awhile. Texture and sweetness level is spot on! From cake to raised to old fashioned, MJ does them all perfectly. It was so good we came back the next day to buy more. Auntie who helped us is so so kind and sweet to us. It's a Yorbalinda community staple for a reason!“
“Friendly staff and the donuts are very fresh and delicious. Came in and notice a variety of donuts available and it was already 2pm, normally I walk into a donut place and after 12pm normally the cases would almost be empty. But at Friendly Donuts there were plenty of delicious donuts available and all very fresh. I loved this place.“
“OC is quickly becoming the land of artisan doughnut shops (Sidecar, Oliboli, Mag's etc.). But most days, you just want a really good donut from a really good corner donut shop. And judging by the line out the door at 5:30am on a weekday, the locals know Donut Plus is just such a place. The gal boxing and bagging up donuts and pouring drinks moved at lightning speed - couldn't believe how fast I was out the door. Super fresh donuts - soft on the inside, nice crisp shell on the outside and great flavor/consistency on the frosting.“
“The first thing I use to judge the quality of a donut shop is if there's a group of old timers sitting there early in the morning. This place checks that box! It's a great local shop that has a wide variety of fresh, tasty donuts! They have good coffee and great service! I love this little shop and glad it's right here in my neighborhood!“
“There are many donut places within a few miles of this one but I think Donut Star has the best donuts and sandwiches and they're open super late! The donuts are very affordable. However, if I recall correctly, they have a pretty high credit card minimum (relative to the low donut prices) which is pretty inconvenient. There's not much room for seating so think of this as more of a grab-and-go spot.“
“This is a great donut shop! If you are looking for a place that has incredibly friendly service and some delicious donuts, come here! At this location they have mostly your traditional donuts. However the lady who worked there assisted me with getting the best deal. Just ask them and they will help you save the most amount of money. Truly a nice gem with an amazing staff. I will definitely be back!“
“Katie's donuts is the best donut shop in Santa Ana! The jalapeño croissants are better than any other place I've been to! The owners are so sweet and I have never had a bad experience with anyone that's worked there. They are always nice to my kids. And we have been going to Location since 2018. They always have coffee and chocolate milk, which makes my morning much easier. I hope they stay open in Santa Ana for a very, very, very long time!“
“I took my children to this donut shop several times a week 25 years ago. I love this donut shop! They are friendly and the donuts are yummy!I recently drove 11 miles just for a French cruller, ham & cheese croissant and a mocha. For a donut shop, they have the best mochas.“
“This is my FAVORITE donut shop. I love all the choices, especially the award winning glazed, and the maple and apple fritters! Their holiday/specialty donuts are so creative and beautiful--have your cameras ready. The owners, Bo and Susan are the best! I highly recommend.“
“Iced coffee is really good! At an affordable price. It gets pretty busy in the morning. People from all over come here. I got the iced coffee and jalapeño ham and cheese and that thing had a lot of jalapeños! Came out to $6.50 my 2nd time here and will return.“
“New Ownership has added some awesome upgrades to this little bakery donut shop. They open at 4 am and have fresh baked croissants daily. Their donuts are all fresh and honestly they are the best donuts in Santa Ana that I've had. Their croissants are super fluffy, flaky ans just baked perfectly. This gem will give you the best breakfast sandwich in Santa Ana. They also have Boba, and fresh coffee. Super awesome place. Taro milk tea was so good“
“One of the softest donuts I've had in a while. Ordered a strawberry crème donut, a glazed donut, a sugar donut, and a Bavarian crème donut to go. All very delicious and airy! Not too sweet. Just perfect. Service was nice but they did charge $.50 for using a credit card“
“Really tasty treats at this mom and pop owned donut shop. Purchased a surprise box through the Too Good to Go app and I was not disappointed. Got a dozen mix, donut holes, a big cinnamon raisin roll and a ham and cheese croissant for $7. Quality donuts. I definitely recommend this if you are in the area. Pleasant and friendly staff/owner.“
“My whole family will only come here for bagels and donuts. The owners are nice and their food is so good! I like bringing a bunch of bagels and cream cheese to work functions or my son's school staff, and every time they're always asking me where I get them because they're so good. They're fast and delicious... can't ask more from a morning breakfast.“
“Great donuts + awesome service = a place I'll come back to for many years to come. Not a big fan of donuts in general but when I want to treat my kids out, it will be at this place. Love to support local business and the new owners are really cool. Check it out & treat yourself!“
“Whenever I want to get donuts I only go to Kenny's Donuts. You can keep your Dunkin Donuts which I grew up on back in 1989 long before they came to California and compared to Kenny's Donuts I'd rate them a 3 stars out of 10. I don't understand why everyone always gives Krispy Kreme such high praise for their donuts cuz personally they barely get 1 star out of 10. I won't rate their shops just their donuts cuz I'm sure their employees and the restaurants would get way more stars than the generic taste of a simple glazed donut which I sadly wasted money on trying it out back in 2002. You want great taste and quality you go to Kenny's Donuts and I promise you'll be going back every morning but don't go before 430-5am cuz they make everything fresh and warm after they open at 3am and all the good stuff takes time to make but I usually go around 515-530am when I know everything is made and still warm and there is never more than 2 people inside. If you like regular glazed, glazed twist, glazed donut holes, maple/chocolate bars, jelly, then Kenny's is the best place to go and every donut is $1.45 - $1.65, or you can order a breakfast sandwich, to go with a hot cup of coffee, or a made to order blended drink off the wall picture menu, or a cold drink from their 2 big drink refrigerators. If you're a fan of racing legend John Force you might just see him there, he's a longtime regular and goes often. I stood in line behind John a few months ago they even have his signed picture up on the wall. He lives only a few minutes away. I highly recommend Kenny's Donuts nextdoor to Canyon Inn bar & grill.“
“Just stopped by ST Donut and got some fresh donuts for my daughter. I've been taking her here since she was in a stroller for the last 5 years. The couple that works here has been working for 23 years 7 days a week open to close except for major holidays. They do not take days off and you can definitely see the fatigue on some days... My daughter always says loudly "Hi Auntie! Hi Uncle!" when she comes in and they always smile and happy to see her. She loves the rainbow sprinkled donuts, but would try the Chocolate bars and maple bars as well, and she would always get a couple donut holes. She also prefers the cheap chocolate milk to her fancy Horizon chocolate milk at home. She just recently tried the strawberry and cream croissant and she's been asking for it every time we've been coming. This is a CASH ONLY establishment like alot of Asian restaurants. Credit cards charge fees and Auntie doesn't want to charge more for people using credit cards or raise the price of the donuts. Most of her customers are high school kids and regulars that know it's cash only, no one needs to be financing a donut anyways. Running a business is hard, especially when covid shut down the schools and businesses which was their main clientele. They work really hard, I would say they work harder than most of us so if she is a bit snappy, try working 7 days a week for 23 years and see how jolly you are. If you haven't tried them, stop buy and grab a donut or croissant. Their ham cheese and jalapeño is my favorite or you can get a sprinkle donut like my daughter. Nothing fancy, just the kind of donuts we grew up with.“
“We discovered this gem of a donut spot while randomly looking for breakfast and was not disappointed! We love supporting family-owned businesses and the employees that work there are super friendly and kind. The shop is located in a shopping complex next to Big Lots so there's plenty of parking available.I ordered the tuna melt and chocolate iced donut. The tuna croissant was delicious! There were fresh lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles inside so I got a satisfying crunch from the vegetables while also enjoying the savory tuna salad and flaky croissant. For the chocolate iced donut, the dough was light and airy inside. I honestly did not expect anything but ended up being super impressed by their quality. We confirmed with the cashier that they do not use any whole eggs in their dough so their donuts are vegan. The donut shop itself is intimate inside with limited amount of seating. They also have a table outside to sit at as well. I saw that several people seemed like regulars, always a good sign of an excellent establishment. Will be frequenting this place in the future!“
“Been here a few times with my parents to get donuts and coffee. Pretty solid place. Sucks that a dozen is about $17. Inflation is hurting everyone right now but I'd rather support small businesses. Cute bakery and I haven't tried their other stuff yet. Coffee is ready good imo and you can self serve. They always give me a free donut when I visit.“
“Delicious! The donuts are so fresh and fluffy, and they have such a great variety. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the ham and cheese croissants. The regular ham and cheese and the one with jalapeño are both *chef's kiss*. These babies are large and in charge! They definitely do not skimp on the ham or the cheese. I got some in almost every bite! Service is great too! The owner and employees are always so pleasant and happy to help, even at 5am.“
“These donuts are huge! They're good too! Nice little mom-and-pop joint. Slower than they should be on the recently rainy afternoon I stopped by. They had a good selection still, so maybe I should be selfishly happy that business wasn't good. The donuts were even still yummy the next day--soft and not old grease-tasting. Bonus: they weren't oily enough to have soaked entirely through the box! Did I mention that I got a few donuts holes thrown in with my half dozen, on the house? Please swing by the next time you need to get donuts food the office, rain...or shine.“
“The only real problem with this donut shop is it's only open in the mornings, and I'm not a morning person! However, I finally was up early one morning and was finally able to visit. As with all donuts, I rate them by the maple bars. The good news is they were top notch. Soft dough with just the right amount of maple that didn't flake off. Excellent job. They also had a fun assortment of donuts as everyone is getting into the cereal topics, or chocolate chips, or whatever they can sprinkle on top. I'm not really a fan of those, but they are a fun treat every now and then. The people working behind the counter was super nice and friendly. The place was clean if I wanted to stay and eat my donut there, but I was heading home so I opted not to. However, if I am ever up early again, and driving by, I would definitely stop by for another maple bar to go.“
“Food 4/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 4/5 I got one dozen, paid around 16 dollars for my coworkers. This place is close to my workplace and I saw some great reviews on Yelp as well. First time here, I tried all the basic donuts. The donut taste was okay for me. Price is very reasonable. I like the people , they are friendly and courteous. Hard working crew.“
“Mr. & Mrs. Norng are wonderful and you can see the love and quality they put in their donuts. I came for the tamales because I was told they are the best in OC! I even met a guy in the line who said he came from Temecula because his wife wanted them specifically from here. The place is nice and clean and very welcoming. I pass 6 donut places to get to this location. I might be a new regular now!“
