Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, great Walt Disney ambiance! Our server was superb! We ordered $500 of food, ordering a wide variety of entrees from the menu: appetizers- rolls, Brussel sprouts, artichoke hearts. Main dish: prime rib, pork chop, ravioli, turkey dishes. Everyone in our party agreed—the menu was over priced, and the food was mediocre. Nothing was a wow for anyone. And we so wanted it to be! It was our Christmas celebration dinner! The food taste really was such a disappointment for our family. We would not recommend Carthay Circle to friends for the price.

Wow, this place has gone downhill substantially. We’ve been coming for 13 years since our first time on our honeymoon. The server was nice but it took 20 minutes for drinks on a not busy day. My husband’s drink wasn’t even correct. Unfortunately, this was our last traditional visit.

Very expensive for a tiny portion of chef boyardee type food. Sparkling water they charge $8 for is moldy tap water that comes out of a soda machine. Can't recommend.

Came for dinner with the family. First the side dish we didn’t order came out. Then we finally got the side dish we did want. Then my Korean bbq prime rib came out (server did not ask me how I wanted it cooked) and it was damn near frozen. Sent it back, came back just as cold. Didn’t eat. They took it off the check 1 but seriously disappointing. I can get a corn dog in the park hotter than the meal I was served.

Fantastic high scale food option within California adventures. One of my favorite food options within the park. The service and food were phenomenal but definitely an expensive dining venue. Would highly suggest a reservation as it doesn't seem highly probably that you would get a walk up table. Overall, a great experience for those looking for an upscale dining option within the parks.

A disappointment. Was lucky to get a reservation here on Thanksgiving weeks in advance. My family and I wanted a different Disney dining experience on the holiday rather than cafeteria style turkey dinner or other grab and go options. The ambiance at Carthay is lovely and nostalgic. Ordered the glazed turkey breast and bread pudding - I think this was supposed to be their version of stuffing. The turkey breast was moist, that was great, but my entire meal arrived cold. The food wasn't hot, not even warm. The dish was accompanied by bread pudding - their version of stuffing. Maybe because it was described as bread pudding it was supposed to be cold? The next time I'm in the parks over a holiday, I'll go with the flow of a completely casual dining experience. At $50+ per person and all the hype this place gets in blogs and other online reviews, I expected much more.

When you come to Disneyland and California Adventure you expect to pay a premium, but this place pushes the limit. $17 for three tiny pizza bites is ridiculous.

We will never forget the hospitality of the staff at Carthay Circle. I showed up an hour before our reservations and explained I was really tired and requested a place to sit quietly and wait for the rest of our party. First they sat me in a quiet alcove by a Christmas tree in a comfy chair. 15 minutes later I was taken to a table in the lounge where I ordered a glass of wine. My waiter was attentive and kind. Wish I could remember his name when my party arrived we were taken to our table upstairs in a beautiful dining room. The food was top of the line! The service was exceptional! I felt refreshed and ready to see a few more experiences. Thank you does not seem like enough. But thank you all so very much

Edgar the waiter truly made this a terrible experience. While we were checking in he was weird about my name (it's a very normal name so I don't get why). He brought us to our table then just left. We saw him a total of two times and he was rude or standoffish both times. All of our food came out before out drinks which was a little frustrating. Then I order the scallops for an entree instead and he fully rang everything in then came back after to say there was only a single scallop for $26. I said that's okay because at this point I ordered it already. Didn't see him once during dinner and after we were done and had sat 20 minutes with empty plates, he checked on ever table but us. Took us another five minutes to flag him down and get the check.
Also if you are coming here to get a semi calm break from the park, don't. Lots of kids running around screaming and playing in the restaurant and on the elevator and stairs.

I highly recommend the Cozy Cone food area instead. Amazing options at a great price!

BEST RESTAURANT IN THE PARKS

We have never had anything less than an exceptional meal here. They are great for food allergies and go out of their way to give impeccable service.

We dined at Cathay Circle today (around 4 PM) and, unfortunately, left disappointed. Although we were seated on time and the staff were polite, the service felt lackluster and rushed. No one checked in on us after our food was served — no offers for drink or water refills, and very little attention paid to our table overall.

What made it more frustrating was seeing nearby tables receive attentive, “white glove” service with frequent check-ins and refills, while we were largely overlooked. We’ve always considered Cathay Circle a favorite and were excited to return after several years. In fact, this visit was part of deciding whether to purchase an annual pass (Magic Key) for dining experiences like this. Sadly, after this experience, we’re rethinking that decision.

We have been to Club 33 and Blue Bayou. I have to say I like this better. Great place to check out and the food was really good.

Having an ever changing menu is amazing and I love the unique ideas that go into each dish, but that doesn’t mean every dish will be a hit. Pork was best of the dishes along with the dessert.

Our server either James/Jason (don’t remember) was incredible through out the whole night. And other servers kept the magic of Disney alive by never allowing my water cup to be empty. Priced exactly how would expect of a restaurant located in the heart of California Adventure. I do prefer the view of Lamplight over Carthay’s beautiful historical decor.
