We met friends at Nicholson Vineyards and the experience was great. The tasting menu had 5 wines: viognier, chardonnay, pinot noir, petite sirah, and zinfandel. Our server was professional and the wines were a treat. The surroundings are beautiful and we enjoyed every minute. Beautiful vineyard, excellent wines. Staff brought us extra utensils and a cutting board to help with the picnic we brought to have with the wine we purchased at the vineyard. The owner, Marguerite, was very friendly and we had a great time chatting about the wines, farm, and family. The wines were all excellent, we especially liked the Sangiovese/Syrah blend and the Amador-sourced Zinfandel. We tasted at three different wineries in the region today and this venue and wine quality was by far the best. Mike and Michelle were great hosts. Would strongly recommend to visit this winery when coming through the area.
