We were their first customers of the day so it took a few minutes to get our food (10-15 minutes) and totally worth it. My love for spicy runs deep, but I didn't want to go overboard with it so I opted to go for hot tenders and waffles. I liked that it was a dry rub and I found the hot was great, but I definitely will go for the extra hot next time . We got some of those blazin fries to share and I thought they were delish, especially since I'm not a big fry fan. My only disappointment was that they don't have any sodas, just iced tea. They had plenty of seats at our visit, but I can imagine it gets quite busy on weekends and holidays. Overall, a 4 star meal.

My wife & I had Jay Bird's on our LA "Nashville" hot chicken must try list... rain or shine we had a mission! What do you know, it's been raining in SoCal recently! Not sure the exact location at first, we went on our mission. Jay Bird's ended up being located in a mall. WOW, it was super clean & the food was sooooo delicious. Talk about freshness. Want a crispy, juicy, flavorful meal? Don't waste time & visit JB in the Santa Anita Mall (Westfield). We never ask for employee names but today it was definitely a different day due to a memorable dinning experience!!! Bravo to all the gentlemen present Niell, Denvew, & Ashley! Sorry yelp & yelp members, it was so delicious we didn't take any pictures!Oh, can't forget to say Thanks for the extra heat in the "blazin' Fries" we took home!

I got the Mac Daddy chicken sandwich with fries ($14) and the original chicken sandwich (both sandwiches medium spicy). Maybe they were having an off day when I went because there weren't too many people that I saw there but it took a very long time to get our food. The chicken meat was a bit dry too. I like the thick brioche bun and the spicy seasoning on the fries, but the sandwiches were just okay and nothing spectacular in my opinion. I was told that the Mac Daddy sandwich is a popular sandwich so I gave it a try, but it's just too much Mac and overwhelms any flavors from the chicken. I think there's potential for this to be good and I see many great reviews so I'll have to come back and try this place again in hopes that they were just having an off day when I went.

I was craving a hot chicken sandwich and this place in the mall happened to be the closest to my location. I ordered a medium spicy baby jay sandwich. The sandwich was handed to me within 5 minutes of ordering.The exterior breading of the chicken was very crispy while the meat inside was still juicy. The comeback sauce was tangy and went well with the pickles and chicken. I should have ordered a level higher than medium since the spiciness wasn't strong enough for me.Overall, a delicious hot chicken sandwich for a reasonable price. I will come back again and try their combo too.

I have been visiting this location for a couple of months now, and I have always been satisfied with their blazing fries. The blazing fries comes with macaroni and cheese, chicken, and french fries. The portion size is decent, and the spice level and flavor of the food has always been great. Overall, I have no complaints and will be continuing my visits here!
The food was really good. The guy who took my order made recommendations, and I went for chicken and waffles. Very well seasoned and the chicken was cooked to perfection! The waffles are so fluffyvand delicious.

Not bad. A little over-fried. But more importantly, it was juicy. I don't like how the spices were caked onto the chicken though. It should be much more evened out. But other than that, the spices actually hit me. Teared me up and made me blow my nose. If you're feeling sick with a cold, this is a good remedy!Although, they seemed a bit short-staffed. They quoted 17min, but it was closer to 25. So keep that in mind.

Terrible food. The chicken was tough as a rock, the fries were super stale and tough/cold. I’ve gone here a handful of times and the most recent two times have been pretty bad. The first few times were alright, which is why I returned. But the quality has declined in recent months.The food isn’t even mediocre. I am not exaggerating about tough chicken. The worst chicken I’ve ever eaten. Literally bubble gum. Chewing on Taffy. The fries were bad too. Half of them fresh, half of them old and cold. They are obviously mixing old food with good food.Don’t eat here.

Matthew was the absolute best, he gave his best service and really showed some southern hospitality with us. He was great and showed great serving skills, not to mention his cooking skills were top notch, he really assured we get our food as fast as possible and I appreciate someone like that, if you're ever in the area and need some banging food come to Jay Birds .
