Really enjoyed our meal at Shabubu! I like that everyone gets their own individual hot pot, so you can choose the broth you actually want. I went with the sukiyaki and loved it — slightly sweet, savory, and really good once the vegetables and meat started cooking in it.

Loved my experience at Shabubu! The meat quality really stood out, and I love that everything is freshly sliced to order. The Japanese A5 Wagyu and beef tongue were my favorites. The both were super tender and delicious. We also tried the pork and seafood, and everything tasted really fresh. Definitely one of my new favorite shabu spots in Arcadia. I’ll be back!
Tried Shabubu in Arcadia and really enjoyed it. We ordered the Hotate Chicken broth for the soup base, and it was really good — flavorful but not too heavy or salty. It actually got even better after cooking all the meat and vegetables in it.

Shabubu is a shabu spot in Arcadia that offers quality cuts of beef instead of AYCE. The Wagyu beef and beef tongue are popular choices, with the A5 wagyu sliced fresh to order and visible through the window. The Hotate Chicken broth is flavorful but not too heavy, and the sukiyaki broth is rich and full of flavor. The house ponzu with spicy radish and garlic is exceptional. Each guest gets an individual hotpot, allowing for different soup bases like Tonkotsu. The vegetable set comes with a good mix of veggies, tofu, corn, and noodles, and the udon can be added to the remaining broth for a comforting finish. Meat trays come in 10-15 pieces, perfect for sharing, with options like USDA Prime ribeye, pork belly, and a seafood platter. The broth is made fresh in-house daily. Service is fantastic, with the owner attentive and complimentary passion fruit juice provided. The restaurant is clean with plenty of seating for larger groups. A lunch special offers 20% off Monday through Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday from 11 AM to 2 PM. Vanilla/green tea ice cream is given at the end of the meal.
