“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata“

“The food is outstanding and the service is good. Only negative is still be forced to eat outside when most other restaurants have opened up indoor dining. The climate here is terrible and eating in the cold and wet is not appealing“

“My dinner was delicious & our table overlooked Humboldt Bay & all the boats anchored at Woodley Island. We also had delicious desserts & wine. I had a lobster sushi dinner & a cucumber salad. My friend had a fettuccine plate with French bread & a salad. They have both Japanese & Italian food!“

“What I know about sushi blue is that their new head chef PN Vang is extremely talented. The way she prepares her dishes and the combinations she comes up with are outstanding. Absolutely delicious food and definitely worth a visit.“

“Cool takeaway spot in a food-oriented portion of a light industrial area. Generous portions of tasty and often-innovative Japanese[-inspired] food. Friendly service. You're going to be knocking on a door in an industrial park to get your food, but it's cool.“
