“As someone with food sensitivity ( Celiac) I have to be careful with dining out. However the Ladies who took care of my Sister & I on 7/1/2026 were absolutely amazing. They were so kind & answered all my questions so we could order a Gluten free meal with ease. We shared a Nice basket of Fries, then ordered some delicious fresh Kebabs with Tzatziki on the side. For a little sweet treat they had my favorite Lavender Turkish delight 😊 and it was the cherry 🍒 on top. It was a great start to my Sister's arrival from the airport & getting a nice meal with a beautiful cafe. Now every chance I get to travel towards Arcata, California from Crescent City I'll be there for more Halal foods. Oh & they have a beautiful array of Nazar Bocungu too.“

“Long time user, first time pop up visitor. Some say I’m anti-social, some say just shy. With my bestie by my side we headed out. I’ve heard of the waiting line but it was short, gave Amy my boxes of empties and ordered. Drinks were served on the spot. The atmosphere was perfect, sunset popping through the front. Food was excellent, plates were full (no yuppy portions). The themed cocktails were great. My favorite was the ube smoothie 🔥. Amy and Steve are so great checking on us regularly. When we were done we visited the gift area. Bottom line: great food, environment, hosts, and time. Will return“

“We've loved Tomo for nearly 30 years. The veggie sushi options are always great, with the inside out roll with tempura yam our favorite. The Humboldt Hunny is also excellent, as is the Buddha Belly. The salad is always a work of art, fresh and tasty with a bit of both house dressings. (I ask for them on the side.) We've never had a problem here and invariably leave feeling happy and nourished on all levels by this longtime local favorite.“

“What a great sushi place! So glad we stumbled upon this out of the way super tasty off the beaten path sushi place in Arcata. It’s a mom n pop shop atmosphere but the food is fine dining style. We both got a roll with salmon in it, can’t remember the names but they were both delicious. The Miso soup, tempura veggies and edamame are all bomb too. Made a mistake of ordering three sakis, they came in a nice size bottle with more than enough for the three of us. Portions are generous and the food is fresh. Got the seaweed salad this trip and it was great, nice roasted sesame flavor. This is now our favorite place to get sushi in Arcata“

“APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.“

“Hands down the best Chinese food we have found in the humboldt area. Quick for large takeout orders and DELICIOUS! Vegetarian? No problem! You can get fried tofu subbed in any of your old favorite dishes (looking at you orange tofu and sweet and sour tofu). Good portions served family style and you always get a box of white rice with your entrees as well. Everything you’re looking for in good reliable spot to order some Chinese food. The workers are quick and professional and the food is flavorful. Make sure to check out the coconut buns and vegetable chow fun!“

“We stopped by today. First time visitors. [It is now in my top 10 restaurants in the county] Clean, friendly, smells good... The staff was fun and smiled easily. Bathroom (men's - my wife said women's too) was clean. Parking is adequate (small town). Ground floor. Easy wheelchair access. We started with the A10 - Vietnamese Style Crispy Chicken Wings. Wings and drumsticks. Wow! Crispy, juicy, flavorful. I think honey based. We got the V1 - Vegetarian Spring Rolls (to go) because we saw another customer with them and she was in bliss. I got a P12 - Eye Round with Fat Brisket. Ended up using a fast straw, the spoon wasn't cutting it. I needed faster. Next time I will get the egg added. Very tasty. The mixture of the meat with the noodles, broth and greens was outstanding. It came with a spring salad with bean stories and lime wedges, jalapeno and basil. I also ordered a Peach Smoothy (24oz). Definitely peachy. Not to thick and very flavorful! My wife got the C4 - Yellow Curry with Chicken. I don't go much for curry, but I had some and may do that one again! Comes with a side of white sticky rice. Her drink was a Mango Flow tea, also 24oz. I also got to go the P56 - Vietnamese Fried Rice with veggies and chicken, and also the P58 - Pad Thai with chicken. Sorry we were eating and didn't get photos except for the half gone chicken and my almost empty bowl. Will I come back? Absolutely!“

“Love us some Pub at the Creamery. It’s a regular spot for our weekly date night. We each get a pizza, share the house salad and get a couple of their creative cocktails. My favorite vegetarian pizza is the Greek. The husband likes the classic pizza. My favorite thing about the house salad are the roasted garbanzo beans. Their cocktails are delicious and their ice is huge and clear just like we like em! You can also get the food to go which we did last night. The hostess called when the food was ready so I could pick it up hot and fresh. So great customer service too. 👌🏻“
