“So yummy, fresh, and healthy tasting!!“

“We absolutely love The Carriage House! This little Sunny Brae jewel is elegant, chic, and wonderfully welcoming. It’s such a nice addition to the neighborhood, and we really enjoy the warm, stylish atmosphere every time we go.

The menu is a bit of a mishmash of different styles, and we do find ourselves wishing it were just a little more adventurous, but everything we’ve tried has been solid. The short ribs with mashed potatoes are definitely our favorite. Our kids enjoyed their pasta, and my husband really liked his Philly cheesesteak. We haven’t tried the pizzas yet, but plan to next time.

The service is friendly, though we’d love to see it feel a touch more polished to match the elegance of the space. They have a cute patio that isn’t open yet — we’re really looking forward to that eventually opening because it will add even more charm.

Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with great potential, and we’ll definitely keep coming back to see how it grows!“

“APD has probably the best pizza in the Arcata/Eureka area, but check your pizza. I come and get a pizza here probably twice a month. I always order the same thing, half just cheese, half pepperoni and jalapeño, and more than half the time it comes out half pepperoni, half jalapeño. Then I have to wait for them to remake it. Not sure why that happens so often. But great pizza. Just be sure to check it.“

“THIS PLACE SLAPS!!! We got the big mck smash burgers, the rockfish sandwich, and the Korean salmon kimchi bowl and scarfed it down in 10 mins. The fries were also so good (chewy and crispy at the same time, reminds me of A&W fries) and the Korean bowl packed a really nice spice punch that keeps you coming back. Owners were so nice!! Overall amazing food and now we regret not adding on the fish and chips smh.“

“Delicious fresh made food! Although the restaurant was busy the waitress and cooks were working hard! While it was beautiful to sit outside, there was a wait so we belly’d up to the bar and watched how efficient and quick everyone worked together. Ordered a cup of their seafood chowder that had clams, shrimp and mushrooms and the Sandy Beach Sandwich with bay shrimp, bacon, green onions and cheddar cheese on grilled sourdough. Sitting at the bar we were able to see all of the food that came out! They had a hot and cold crab sandwich that both looked delicious . Their Pub Cod sandwich was huge! The Shrimp Louie salad was big and had a lot of bay shrimp on it. This place was definitely worth the wait! Don’t miss out!“

“Pacific Seafood, that's what the man said, then he said the fish is so fresh you might have to kill it yourself, so take a filet knife with you to jab into it's gills, and a stiff wire to run up it's spinal cord. Well, I followed the instructions to the tee, and got a salmon that was floppin around like a Kardashian in the back of a limo filled with men. MAN-O-MAN that salmon was Amazing! I took half of a side and smoked it to an internal temp of 135 ...and let me tell you...it was Spectacular! Being fresh is the key to any great fish meal, and Pacific Seafood does it Bigly! ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Fantastic spot right on the water. Rice pilaf and garlicky green beans were AMAZING. Clam chowder is always good and you can tell they work with local fishermen for the freshest seafood. Beautiful views overlooking the harbor. Everything came out hot, fast, and fresh. Highly recommended!!!“

“The service and food were both excellent this evening! I was especially looking forward to a good ribeye steak, unfortunately due to a shipment mixup there were no ribeye. However, they upgraded my dinner to a mouth-watering filet at no charge. Needless to say, I was not disappointed! We also got the rack of lamb and the table-side ceaser salad. Everything was excellent, and I can't wait to come here again!“
