“This place has been around forever. I remember I'd go to this place in high school back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Back then, along with the now shunted Broadway Bagel, DKs was among the most popular breakfast places in the area aside from the ubiquitous McDonald's or Jack breakfast.I brought my wife here this morning, who originally hails from the East Coast, and has been craving a good breakfast sandwich/bagel. DK's certainly delivered, and she was happy with her selection. DKs is definitely still great place to snag a quick donut and hot breakfast sandwich.“
“I'm always scared to try. Donut shops when traveling, but this one definitely did not disappoint. I always get croissants at shops, and I look for authentic food. This place hit the spot. The location was very well put together, easy to get in and out of! Had the donuts perfectly displayed so I can pick easy from what I wanted! The owner had a great attitude so nice and friendly. Will be returning when I come back to town for sure‼‼“
“My family's old go to when we lived in AG. When you enter, you are welcomed. They had many donuts to choose from, especially for a Wednesday at 11:30am. Still thick glazed, filled to the max and very fluffy. The place, itself, hasn't changed one bit, since the 90's. Ambiance is still that old donut shop. My daughter loved her pink sprinkled and I loved my Jelly and Custard. My daughter thought that it was so cool that I used to go there as a kid and now she got to go. It was great to share it with her and make our memories.“
“Sunshine Donuts makes the best, most consistent, traditional cake donuts I've ever tasted, bar none. I fell in love with Sunshine Donuts in SLO, and was devastated to learn they'd closed, and been replaced by the SLO DO CO Instagram donuts. I mean, nothing against Instagram donuts, but slodoco's donuts are way too sweet. And don't have the beautiful dough taste of Sunshine's. So I was OVERJOYED to find out that there was a Sunshine's in Nipomo, and it's the same recipes and menu! The apple fritters are the same, the donuts are the same, and it makes me so happy. I highly recommend coming here if you're a cake donut fan. It's better than Winchell's, if you're an LA donut fan. I know, HERESY, but Sunshine's got the (baked) goods to back it up. They're not the best raised donuts I've tasted, though those aren't bad. But the cake donuts are SO GOOD. And the apple fritters. And the buttermilk bars actually taste like their own thing, not just loaves of cake donut. They're closed for 3 weeks after Christmas, and when they open again, I'll be there with bells on, to start the new year right!“
“Cute shop, good coffee, delicious donuts. They are also open early, which always works for me. I still wake up at dawn even when I'm not surfing. The owner was also bright and friendly for 6am. I wish we had a shop like this back home!“
“Freshh donuts are classic and you can never go wrong with sprinkled donuts or donut holes! We recently tried the bagel sandwiches and we're obsessed! Highly recommend grabbing a couple the next time you stop by to grab some donuts or coffee.“
“I love stopping by this place every morning before heading to school. It's so convenient as it's just down the street and within walking distance. They make amazing sweet treats and drinks that won't break the bank. You should also check out their snack selection - so many choices!“
