Brian's Artisan Bread Company

Great Sourdough! I have been buying Brian's Sourdough for years now (from restaurants in Morro Bay and Paso) and didn't even know that it came from here! The crust on the exterior is soft. It is a lot like a French bread, really. But the sourdough yeast starter they use is fantastic. It could be more 'sour' for my liking, but I can tell you that I have been trying to perfect sourdough from a 100 year old Sourdough starter which I obtained from San Francisco a dozen years...read full review

I never would have tasted this delicious sourdough if it hadn't been for Ada's Fish House in Pismo. The sourdough rolls were to die for, and luckily the waitstaff told us where to find Brian's Bread locally. We brought some delicious rolls home to So Cal, as well as the amazing sliced rosemary w/olive oil. I'll be placing an online order soon, as my family is now hooked on this wonderful bread. Thank you Brian, for selling such a delicious all natural sourdough bread!

lOk lived in the SF bay and Marin for 30+ years... Lombard of Petaluma ( now closed for ever, Bordenave in San Rafael..,,,, used to get it hot in the market every day at 3.... Those were the kings of bread to me. Learned that the natural yeast needs a specific temperature, bacteria and humidity to get that sour tang. and only a few places have that combo.. North County Sonoma, San Luis obispo Salinas Valley and Northern Sandiego. It is biology and climate that man can not duplicate....read full review
