“Kathy and I have always enjoyed the Jantz Café starting 20 years ago or so. The friendly faces as you walk in the staff and patrons seem all to be cheerful, everyone enjoying a great meal.Each time we came to California Kathy looked forward to going to the Jantz Café.”

“I’ve been an avid customer for more than 17 years. Majority of the time I eat solo because I run errands or have appointments after I eat there however I’ve introduced my family to this wonderful little cafe whenever they are in town. They all are big fans of Granny’s and always want to go there when in town. By the way my fam is from Santa Barbara & Los Angeles! Besides enjoying a nice meal I love talking with my fellow customers that’s one of the pluses of a small town cafe. Sad to see someone had a bad experience thank heaven that’s the exception not the norm. Granny’s is the only place I eat pancakes at usually in place of toast plus I love that they offer fresh fruit 🍉 not canned. Also enjoy their daily soup, split pea being one of my favs, also love their Taco salad. Well I could go on and on with various things I enjoy however some things you’ll have to try for yourself. As far as service it’s always been good for me however I know there has been changes and with that there is a learning time with new personnel. I’m sure everyone has had a good or bad experience now and then when eating out, here’s wishing you a great experience when come to this little towns cafe❤️”

The food is GOOD, thick pieces of chicken or beef. The rice was tasty aswell as the noodles. For 13 bucks you get FAR tastier and FAR tastier food than if you got say, panda. A solid choice 👌🏿”

“I got a meatball on wheat and my partner had a turkey on white both were absolutely amazing the meats cheeses spices veggies and bread all perfect even reheated my second half and bread didn’t get weird 10/10 would recommend”

“Pizza is always a hit. The staff, although all young, are very nice and attentive. The only issue I seem to have often is when I call to place an order. They don't answer the phone most of the time. I'm thinking it's because they get busy but not sure. Otherwise always good experience.

Parking: Shopping center is always super busy, so no fault to them.”

Started going about 3 years ago in Atwater there was a older gentleman and younger woman that remembered me every single time cooked each plate exactly how I’d ask , and were always so nice , for that I’ve stayed loyal but really if you like hibachi you’ll like theirs .”

“Always fresh, consistent, and tasty. Coupons and specials make the price perfect (we were Round Table people for years). Their specialty pizzas are great! We order delivery usually and the pizza is always hot and right on time, very nice delivery drivers as well!”

“The employees are very friendly and the bartender knows how to make a good drink. They have two pool tables and the karaoke show is awesome.

Parking: There's more than ample amount of parking”

“This is our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh and delicious. The other reviews claiming that Panda is better clearly indicates that they don’t know what good Chinese food tastes like. Panda is ok in a pinch, but I would definitely rather eat here. It is a small, family run business, so sometimes there is a little bit of a wait, but it’s worth it. My husband is Chinese and this is authentic, Cantonese style, Chinese food. Also the complaints about price are way off base, because they have large portions and we always have a lot of leftovers. Some of our favorites are teriyaki chicken, chicken chow fun, tomato beef chow mein with pan fried noodles, steamed fish fillet, coconut shrimp (no batter) chicken chow mein, pot stickers, sizzling rice soup, etc..I am gluten intolerant and they have always been conscientious of that, when I asked, recommending gluten friendly options. We have never had a bad meal here whether we dine in or do takeout.”

Food - I ordered the chili verde burrito with extra sauce on the side. The portions are huge! Never had a bad item off the menu.
Service is always wonderful. They great you and take care of all your needs.
The atmosphere is so-so. It's a small store that sells other goods besides food.”

“Some of my best memories with my grandfather and all the truckers that used to stop in. Go ask for the biscuits and gravy on the side. Try butter and jam on one and see how you like it. instantly brings back memories of Grandma's and Grandpa cooking with freshest coffee ☕ in town. Made with the cleanest Atwater 💦🌊💦. 👍 👍 👍”

“I've always loved Jams 209 since they opened in Atwater but I'm so happy theyve stayed open for delivery (and now outdoor seating) during the pandemic and still pumping out delicious food! I love the staff and while I will keep supporting thru pickup now....looking forward to the day I can come back and enjoy the fun atmosphere & friendly employees again as well 🙂”

“Somehow I've worked in Atwater for nearly 10 years, and just now found out about the absolute gem! I tried the butter chicken, the dahl makhni, samosas, and garlic naan bread. I knew i was in for an amazing experience the instant I walked through the door and breathed in the glorious smell of their wonderful cooking, and was greeted with a smile by the a very kind gentleman.
I am not exaggerating when I say their food absolutely rocked my world! It was SO delicious! It was so good, I lost my usual self control, and ate until I was absolutely stuffed, and I still have enough leftovers for my lunch tomorrow, because they are very generous with their portions for a very reasonable price. Everything was cooked to complete perfection, and seasoned wonderfully. I will absolutely be a repeat customer going forward, and I definitely reccomend them to anybody and everybody.”

“I highly recommend carnitas, they’re delicious. We loved that they were able to have a good quantity amount for a party, loved that they included onion, cilantro & limones. The breakfast burrito is also a must, great portion size and delicious.”

“The rosca, was soft and delicious. My family and I are extremely particular when it comes to pan dulce. This was the first time buying from this panadería. This rosca definitely won us over and will be coming back. Also, I'm glad they had some, because the one back home, was only pre-orders. So I was in a rush trying to find a rosca. “I was in the Drive-Thru so I'm not really sure about atmosphere inside. We go here at least once a week to maybe every two weeks to get my boyfriend's grandpa is chalupas. The menu is pretty expensive when you're not ordering a meal. Does street tacos that they came out with were delicious. We had the steak street tacos.”
