nice place, great food...wonderful service
We love Max's and are so sorry they will be closing. We hope the renovated restaurant includes some of the wonderful recipes that Max's has. Thanks to the staff all these years that have been wonderful to their customers! We will miss you!

The buffet on Mother's Day was described as absolutely delicious, featuring a huge variety of choices and a bottomless mimosa bar. The service is usually pleasant and attentive, though the bar area can become a bit loud at times. Customers have praised the Reuben, and while the food is generally good, there have been mixed reviews about specific dishes like the Chinese chicken salad.
Families find it a good place to stop when traveling in the Auburn area. The restaurant has a civilized atmosphere, and service can be inconsistent, especially for travelers. The food is excellent, with good quality and good cuts of meat, and the veggies are nicely al dente. The service is attentive and accommodating, and the dining room is not very noisy. The desserts are scrumptious, and the street tacos are filling. The Reuben and other sandwiches, such as Patty melts and chicken melts, are also good. Customers have enjoyed their dining experience at Max's, where they were not rushed and were seated near the window and away from other guests.
