Had great food! Chicken tandoor and lamb biryani was delicious.
I’m from Fresno, but whenever I’m passing through Bakersfield, I always try to stop here for food. Their dosa and biryani are absolutely amazing—definitely my two favorites! They’re so good that I keep ordering the same things and never get a chance to try the rest of the menu. 😂

Based on the reviews, Aroma of India offers amazing, authentic food full of rich flavors. The South Indian dishes taste very traditional and remind of home-style cooking. Everything is fresh, well-prepared, and served with care. Specific meals mentioned include cone dosa, parathas, biryani, Medhu Vada, and Okra (Bhendi) fry. The vadas were very light and fluffy, and the biryani was awesome. The restaurant is a great go-to for families with small kids, as the food is not oily. It is perfect for take out and dine-in, with a friendly and open atmosphere and plenty of space for a group. The service is excellent, with a warm welcome and prompt service. Staffs are super friendly and expertly customize food according to taste buds. This is one of the best South Indian restaurants in California.
