“I give the pizza five stars. Pretty decent atmosphere. Owner who was there seemed pretty solid. On the two occasions I’ve been, there, I had two different bartenders. One gorgeous girl who was extremely friendly and polite. I believe her name was Maddy. The other one kinda masculine, body builder type, extremely rude. I would go back, but not on her shift.“

“O'Hennings is truly a hidden gem. I tend to go either Tuesday or Wednesday nights. The bartender, Sheila, is the sweetest person. The drinks were poured perfectly, and she got everyone at the bar to play games. Due to its location, I was sort of hesitant to go in, but once you step inside, it's very inviting and calm. The parking lot is well lit, and theres a Taco truck right outside with their own seating area, or you can take your food into the bar. The only downside is that it's kind of dated inside.“

“THE most friendliest pub in town and they don't charge an arm and a leg for their drinks. The bartenders are friendly and they don't put up with belligerent people. So, it's a great place to go alone if your a woman looking to unwind. Or, possibly meet male or female friends. They have a pool table, dart games, video games, and a nice comfortable patio for winter or summer. Plus, they have cameras for security, but you wouldn't need it here. Go in for a drink, belly up to the bar, and see how friendly these people who frequent the place are! It's been in this town like forever. Big red and yellow neon sign says, “Vi's Cocktails” on Rosedale Hwy. west past Albertsons and Allen Rd., but just east of the Renfro St. stoplight on the left hand side. “5 stars for this type of place. As I always say, go i to places being realistic about what to expect. 2 of us went on a Friday at 5:30pm. It was busy. It was Happy Hour! We grabbed a drink and hung out by the bar until our table was ready. That took , maybe, 20 minutes. Not bad, in my opinion. We had a nice booth, and it was a fun atmosphere. We ordered happy hour appetizers and they came out in 10 minites. Super fastband friendly service. I think they have a well oiled machine going at this place. The pruce during happy hour can't be beat for the qualuty if food you get. I think its a great place to meet up with friends, have dinner with the kids, or a first meet-up kind of spot.“

“extremely poor service. my boys were at a birthday party and it took an hour just to get drinks, at that they warm bottled drinks. then it took another hour or longer to get food. no one ever walked up to them for 45 min. and was not even a busy night not very many other customers their. never came back to refill. the drinks. extremely unacceptable service. it is sad when you can get better service and food from a food truck than an actual restaurant. not sure where to leave star rating but it would be -⭐“

“DO NOT STAY HERE!! IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO SLEEP!!! I am so mad right now. We picked this hotel to stop and get rest on a long road trip, what a mistake!!! Its basically like im sitting in a f$%^% rave! Blaring loud music, bass is rattling the walls, and we were told "I can give you ear plugs..." wtf is that going to do??? Do not stay here!! Edit to add: I spoke to the front desk this morning and right away they blew it off saying "ma'am, its down town Bakersfield, its going to be loud"... be f&%$^ serious!! Im 40yrs old, I've stayed at 1000's of hotels in my life. Many on the heart of Vegas strip, big party areas, and NEVER in my life have I dealt with something like that! She said its not the hotels responsibility... um yeah it is! They are 10000% aware of this MAJOR issue and it IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY to warn there customers. We didn't even want this type of room, we asked for two king rooms, and the host at checkin said this option would be better. I hope this place continues to lose business, until they start taking some responsibility.“

“This cafe is attached to the hotel and host the complimentary breakfast. It is served in buffet style warming trays but everything was prepared in small batches fresh off the grill. Everything was tasty enough for me to let the cook (Jason) know. The young lady out front (I should have got her name) was very pleasant and kept my coffee topped up. I will definitely go back for my evening meals after work!
Dinners have proven to be really good as well. Straight forward menu at reasonable prices. The cook even takes some pride in presentation. Waitress (Angie) was very attentive on things like topping up my glass of pop before I asked without being intrusive. Also greets you with a nice smile. Not sure why this place is not busier. Especially with the deal for people staying at the hotel. I have mixed emotions on the hotel management at the moment but will leave that one alone“

“Absolutely great place to make as one of your first choices for brunch on weekends or lunch, dinner or just drinks during the week. My favorite brunch is "Mom's Waffles" or "Biscuit Benedict". You can't go wrong with any of their burgers either. Even the Tatter Tots are seasoned perfect. Drinks are delicious. If you like to drink your dessert try the "Lemon Cheesecake Martini". It's family friendly. If you get Nelson as your waiter, tell him you heard he is the best. My wife and I hope you enjoy your visit and a Blessed and Happy New Year - 2025“
