Always been one of my favorite ice cream places in town, but $13 for one item turns this place into somewhere I'll only go a handful of times a year now. Pretty bold too, considering you'll wait forever in the drive thru, only to be immediately asked to leave a tip. I'll stick to store bought, where I can buy 4 1/2 quarts for the same cost and about 80% the quality.

Update: They've adopted the poor practice of shrinkflation. Serving sizes are much smaller than they were.
Best ice cream in town. I enjoy the triple chocolate the best. The drive thru is convenient on a hot summer evening after dinner.

This is hands down my favorite place to go for ice cream in town. The drive thru can sometimes be VERY hectic but it is worth the long wait in line. The ice cream is so soft and creamy compared to most other places. The selection of ice cream and sundaes , shakes , topics , etc is also the right amount. The price for what you get is also fair in my opinion. Great place to go for a date night also. Love the ineterior and atmosphere of Dewars. Will be going here until I die one day.

the new to go cups with the dome lids are horrific. hope you don’t plan to eat in the car because it’ll 100% without a doubt spill and drip everywhere. so messy.

Came here with my family and as soon as we walked in we were rushed to order. When we walked up to the cash register there were at least four workers standing behind the cashier watching her take our order. It was very uncomfortable. The cashier with the blue hair had a bad attitude and a straight face. I approached the manager and told her I felt that the girl that helped us was rude and all she said was I’m sorry. I had to ask her what she was doing to do about it for her to finally tell me she would talk to her about it later. My hope with this review is that they get some basic training in customer service. Something as simple as a smile goes a long way.

I am very pro-tipping. I always do it when given the option. It was beyond shady and uncomfortable when the cashier took my card, chose the max amount of tip for me, confirmed it and didn't let me know. I had a feeling when he was pushing buttons on the screen for me but it went by so fast. Very rude, dishonest & slimey. I told my brother the story in passing and he said "That happened to my girlfriend at that location last week!!" so lame.

This was a great experience. Easy parking. Fast ordering. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Delicious ice cream. Clean restrooms. High chairs available. My toddler loved his creamy sweet vanilla and I'm sure there will be a sugar crash soon. The black and white sundae was a hit too.

Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and nice large restrooms so it was easy to maneuver with a toddler. I asked for the smallest ice cream size for my toddler and it was still very large

Hey all! So here is one of the best places to go to in Bakersfield for ice cream!I went with my niece to give her a pick me up after her puppy passed away. ?She was happy to have a scoop of bubblegum with marshmallow topping. I had the black and gold, which is my favorite, and mom had 2 scoops, vanilla, and strawberry with sprinkled walnuts. I had almonds.The ice cream is rich and delicious. Perfect sweetness. The peanut butter sauce and hot fudge take the black and gold over the top. Yum.

Amazing ice cream and deserts. Worthy place to try some of the specials they have. If you are traveling through town and have a sweet tooth this is the place to stop. A little on the pricey side and over the years portions have decreased as well. These things have not stopped us from going there.
