Firdt time in Truckee and inly a few Japanese food around where we were staying. I would say this place a gem. We were sat at the sushi bar . The sushi chef was very good and helpful. I love the Spider roll and the salmon skin, spider hand rolls too!
Stopped in while staying across the street on vacation. The food - sushi and ramen - was excellent as were the drinks. A nice treat that we were lucky to find. Would definitely recommend this spot for anyone staying in the Truckee area.

Another reviewer said it pretty well = "Acceptable Japanese food for a mountain town." Whether in NYC or Austin, I love getting ramen and Omakase. After a long day cat skiing (well, failing at that) a warm bowl of ramen sounded amazing. I wouldn't say it was great, but I found it perfectly acceptable and just the thought of having this compared to pizza/burgers/steak and potatoes made it taste much better.
