Three daughters and wife absolutely love this place which is a direct reflection of the 5 star review. For myself, I flat out don’t really get it, but honestly, whatever makes them happy.
For the men, well, “people” who enjoy a greasy, fatty, country fried, hearty breakfast, this brand might not float your boat. The waffles are very similar to egos one may pop in the toaster, and there’s no bacon in house, yep I said it, no bacon. The scenery is interesting, where I could see myself grabbing my laptop, sitting and shotgunning a decorated espresso.
The food is good, but please consider, if you’re looking for a 08 knotty pine, this is not your place.

I’m not one to make reviews, but I had a unique experience this morning that I felt should be shared. I was standing in line with a dear friend. For context, I’m Hispanic. I was ignored for the most part by staff but more importantly the guests that were there. I wouldn’t have noticed except my friend who is Caucasian; received all the attention. From ordering, to receiving general kindness. I felt invisible. If you are an ethnicity aside from white, I’d reconsider going to this location.

Nice people, cool place but food and coffee isn’t great. This toast is $8 and it’s the smallest thing I’ve ever seen. Coffee is repeatedly bad and in my opinion you shouldn’t be allowed to have high prices AND sub par products. Fix one of them, and this place could but 5 stars

Our coffee was cold....we asked for it to be warmed and the waiter told us no....but we could go to the barista and ask for some hot water if we wanted. No wonder you pay before being served

So I went to smittens on buena vista, wanting to have a nice meal.I sit down in the entry area by where you're supposed to get seated.They kick me out because they said I wasn't allowed to sit there.But they had chairs and tables, and every time i've been there at lunch, they speed there.And then all of a sudden, i'm not allowed to it was very rude.They should probably remove the tables and chairs in the waiting area.If they're not going to feed the people
I ordered a couple beef burgers well done and they were raw.

Whatever you do, do not have dinner here! I ordered the mushroom linguine and added salmon. Nonetheless the next morning I had food poisoning due to the tainted fish. When I call the next morning to inform them that they are serving a spoiled product, the shift leader did nothing but get defensive and claim it wasn't theirs.

Ordered the steak wrap, which I have ordered before, and is very good. However, I am very disappointed this time. The tortilla was rubbery, and when I bit in, I got a mouthful of tough rubbery tortilla. Also, they left off the aioli and cilantro, and the beef was kinda dry. Just make sure if you are bringing it that they made it correctly. Very disappointing to pay for something and not get what you wanted.

I walk in with my Mexican buddy, right? And boom—every pair of eyes in the room is locked on us like we’re freakin’ aliens or somethin’. Like they’ve never seen a dark-skinned guy and a Mexican walk into a place together before. What the hell is that about?
