Bistros near Baldwin Park

“Due to Covid the pool is closed, the bistro is closed and the gym is closed basically everything you would normally enjoy at a hotel and that did not bother me one bit. Face masks were required while walking through the hotel. They really have their security in place to make guests feel secure. You do have to pay for parking, but I think it was like $6. Soon after check-in the front desk called to make sure our room was acceptable and to see if we needed anything. Out of the 4 or 5 hotels I stayed at on this trip, they were the only hotel who made that call. Guess what - a standard room with a microwave and refrigerator (read my other reviews as far as the microwaves in rooms). The hotel is close to restaurants, stores etc. I could have been in a bunker because we didn't hear anyone else at the hotel. I appreciate the soundproofing. I slept so good that I wanted to know if it was the mattress, but I forgot to get the brand before we left. I really have absolutely no complaints about this hotel.“

“the guba umami (beef noodle soup) was really good! although i will say that even though it says mild, for me it was quite a bit spicy but that’s probably just cause I have low spice tolerance. 😅despite that though, it was so good i had to finish the entire bowl. the service was great and the guy at the counter was really nice.“
