“Outstanding authentic Mexican flavor. Tastes sooooooo good! If you like tacos (and who doesn't) you MUST try the menu item called "3-Taco Birria Pulled Beef" with cheese/lettuce/tomato. I was blown away by the rich flavor. It's served with a cup of delicious broth on the side which is great for dipping. I'm always craving this meal. Another recommended choice is the deep-fried Quesadilla with marinated Birria pulled beef. This one has fresh veggies on the inside and is layered with a rich, tasty cheese on the outside. I can't stay away from this place!!!”

“I’ve been an avid customer for more than 17 years. Majority of the time I eat solo because I run errands or have appointments after I eat there however I’ve introduced my family to this wonderful little cafe whenever they are in town. They all are big fans of Granny’s and always want to go there when in town. By the way my fam is from Santa Barbara & Los Angeles! Besides enjoying a nice meal I love talking with my fellow customers that’s one of the pluses of a small town cafe. Sad to see someone had a bad experience thank heaven that’s the exception not the norm. Granny’s is the only place I eat pancakes at usually in place of toast plus I love that they offer fresh fruit 🍉 not canned. Also enjoy their daily soup, split pea being one of my favs, also love their Taco salad. Well I could go on and on with various things I enjoy however some things you’ll have to try for yourself. As far as service it’s always been good for me however I know there has been changes and with that there is a learning time with new personnel. I’m sure everyone has had a good or bad experience now and then when eating out, here’s wishing you a great experience when come to this little towns cafe❤️”

“Just had the dinner for 40 here tonight in their room. I cannot say enough about the excellent service and help. Tony…. You and your daughter have a real hidden gem. Food was excellent. Tri Tip Chicken mashed potatoes and green beans. Jalapeño poppers so good . Thank You and I can’t say enough for your hospitality and our last minute changes.”

“One of our favorite spots. We have brought several friends and family and boast about the incredible food and service. Only disappointment is the bathrooms. Such a beautiful location with very poor kept bathrooms. Tonight we have a reservation for 2 and got offered high top or the table next to the bathroom when every table but 3 were open. We try to make our date nights special tonight was disappointing with these options. (We reluctantly chose the table next to the bathroom) Our server Priscilla was so sweet she made up for it. But even when we were leaving there were still empty tables. It’s the little things like that, that will make us rethink our choice next time.”

“I have been there two times now! Staff is very friendly. The coffee cake is absolutely delicious. I have had their vanilla latte and also their hazelnut latte. Both very delicious and flavorful. Highly recommend going in supporting a local coffee shop. They even have sugar-free and low calorie options for you to be able to put in your coffee. Did I mention that it’s Pete’s coffee. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be back.”

“First time trying it out on a recommendation from a few people.
They do have a decent salsa bar (cabbage salsa is the superior salsa 🤤) which was a highlight of one of the recommendations.

The food left a little to be desired, I got the two item combo the tamale was very tasty, the red sauce had a good kick but it didn't linger or take away from the flavor. The sope however was a little lack-luster. I got it with pastor, which was not like any pastor I've ever had so that was disappointing. The masa was tough and flavorless. I love that they use romaine and not just iceberg but it was missing that crunch. Points for the rice and beans, though, they were very flavorful!
My husband got the taco salad, and it was pitiful, huge shell barely half way filled up. He was also bummed at the pastor.
He also said the shell tasted like dish soap😬

Overall- more positives than negatives and I'd definitely come back to try other stuff. I saw other plates that people in our group ordered and I was definitely intrigued!

“Drive up from Sacramento, googled Burrito and this place popped up. Ordered a Carne Asada Super Burrito, added chicken and grilled jalapenos. 10/10. Their salsa is breath taking 🔥 Also the lime cucumber water is a must have.”

“Local, family-owned and operated spot. The kind of place that has tons of regulars, friendly service, and decades of consistent presence in the community. Quality ranges from good to great, perhaps due to the vast menu, but that means there's something for everyone. I'd love to see, and would happily pay more for, an upgrade to the corn tortillas served with many of the dishes.
One often overlooked aspect of the dine-in experience is the music and decor. I am very appreciative of the diverse, curated, custom playlists and art that cross genres, pace, culture, and sentiment with ease--often sparking conversation at our table. It is obviously done by someone with an expansive love of music and art, and I'm grateful for the thought and consideration that goes into it. Super cool.”
