This is a To-Go lunch spot adjacent to the Oceanview Diner. It's basically an entire separate restaurant with a different kitchen. I work on Fourth Street, and this my go-to place for lunch. I used to do Market Hall, but the food here is better and the prices are better, pretty reasonable for the bay. You can get a satisfying meal for ~$10 and a good snack for $5. They do a few things really well. All the prepared dishes from the glass case I've tried have been great....
Excellent sandwiches. I don't need to remind anyone of that. However, their coffee is TERRIBLE. It literally tastes like burnt toast, it's grainy, and it's served so hot you have to wait a half hour to drink it.This place is perfect as long as you bring your own coffee.
Apathetic and slow service--actually, borderline unfriendly and I am not a difficult customer. I have worked in the service industry. When I did, I made a point of greeting customers with warmth and friendliness. I just wanted a breakfast sandwich, did not make any special requests. I didn't mind the long waiting around for a single sandwich as much as I minded the bad attitude of the person who took my order. The sandwich was AH-MAZING. Seriously...sssssooooo delicious....
