Reviews for Brazil Cafe

On a rainy Friday afternoon, I had lunch at Brazil Café. It was my first time and I was a bit nervous as Brazilian places are often heavy on the meat. Not many options for those of us who do not eat meat. But, luckily they offered a veggie rice bowl. It was flavorful, spicy, outstanding and a huge portion. The bowl had an array of veggies, onions, avocado, etc. I wasn't happy about the price $12 (thus the 4 stars). However, I will admit it was a lot of food. The full review
This is a popular, classic Berkeley joint--they have 3 locations (2 sit-down restaurants and one stand right by campus) which is telling of their success. Meat lovers, unite! Their tri-tip is what you have to go for. My friend and I discovered this place our freshman year after getting sucked into free samples. The owner was super friendly and convincing. More importantly, the beef was at once springy and juicy, super flavorful with that delicious cilantro sauce. Since then, full review
The lack of parking around here was a bit of a headache, but I figured that it would all be worth it in the end. I was wrong. Walking up, the food actually smelled quite delicious. I guess the scent and taste didn't quite match up on this one. Tri Tip Plate: My fiancée and I both ordered the Tri Tip plate. The wait was kind of long at about 15 minutes since there was only one other person eating there. Looking at the food, they gave a generous amount. Once we tried full review
