“Food was delicious I never wrote reviews before but had to share my experience only thing I didn’t notice was if they had bell peppers to add on or jalapeños then would been 100 percent perfect. Service was good friendly guy in the front food came out fast and hot ❤️“

“When I got there, the place was very clean and homey. The staff was also very nice and friendly. The person at the register treats you like an old friend you haven't seen in a long time. I got a double cheeseburger combo along with some cheese sticks and it was amazing. The seasoning on the cheese sticks was delicious and the burger was juicy. Very fair price too.“

“Hands down best Gyro I’ve had since visiting Denmark. The seasoned fries paired with their ranch and smokey barbecue sauces were divine. The atmosphere is very friendly and the dine-in aesthetic was quaint. HIGHLY recommend OakTown Kabobs with my boy Farzad.“

“I know.... They take a hit on atmosphere but let me explain..... This little locally known spot may have the best sandwiches 🥪😜 in the bay! And I'm not kidding. I first came here when I was 15 and nothing has changed, the consistency is overwhelming. The cheese steaks ranged supreme here, real 🍖 meat, not that shaved frozen stuff. You'll see patrons leaving with 4, or 5 this is serious business 😂, They have a pastrami also that I believe will rival any you get in New York, Fry's always nice 👍 to order. Only thing is the dining room hasn't been updated since the 90s , practically same table and chairs. Some people might find it a little rough but for me it's like coming home. Very few businesses have survived in Oakland this long. They even have a News post from the 70s giving thanks to the founder. And yeah it's in a rough neighborhood but to get to the good food that's where you gotta go😂👍 good job guys!! I'll be back on Friday for another, and don't forget the Tiki punch.“

“This is what all mom and pop restaurants should be like. You can literally taste the love in every bite. Everything they serve is fantastic. You won’t be disappointed. I am, very emphatically, including the deep-fried Oreos in that statement. Worth the drive and definitely worth the price.“

“There's a special place in my heart for local diners. V Cafe serves burgers, cheese steaks, sandwiches and salads. Missing are brunch egg dishes, French toast, milkshakes, pancakes and waffles. My bacon cheeseburger w/garlic fries $16.50 was OK. It was a 1/3 pound patty, kind of dry. The meat was cooked correctly. There wasn't enough garlic taste in the garlic fries. Service was OK for an order at the counter establishment. The kitchen was fast.“

“I called in through door dash and then picked up. Super fast!I had the king size chicken Philly with hot peppers, sweet peppers and onions.It was very good and cheesy, and great to share.Curly fries were okay- a little oily. But usually always good.I’ve been coming to this location since when they had the punch cards!

“AMAZING!!! Giant half pound burgers that will fill you up no matter who you are ,with loads of flavor from the grilled onions and tomatoes and raw onions as well. Simple menu, but prices lower than most burger joints , with a quality higher than most. The half pound burgers cost less than what most places would charge for a quarter pound burger. A gem of a place. This will be the undisputed only place I will be going for burgers in SF , HANDS DOWN.“

“Ive been to the food truck & the storefront. The food consistency is the same at both! The meats are flavorful and they have a nice menu selection. Definitely recommend the steak & shrimp fries & also the cheesesteak egg rolls. The steak hoagie is also good (taste similar to the egg roll so cant go wrong).“
