Humphry Slocombe on College Avenue is one of Berkeley’s best ice cream spots—friendly vibe, consistently delicious, and reliably creative. If you’re a chocolate fan, the hot fudge parfait and fudge brownie delight are both standout choices. The fudge is rich without being overly sweet, and the brownie is dense and satisfying.

The server was very nice and I think that overall, the company did a good job maintaining the space a "the Ici space" (Ici was the original ice cream shop in this location which closed suddenly and without warning). Despite these positives, the ice cream is not good in my opinion. It is way too sweet and not balanced at all. Ultimately, when I go to an ice cream shop, I want good ice cream, and instead I got a reminder of why I miss the company that used to be at this...

I dream about this ice cream. A bit overpriced and usually younger less friendly people working at this location but that’s fine; it’s the best ice cream. This is usually one of the first places i bring out of town guests.
