Lush Gelato

Tunnel Tops had newly opened upon our visit on a Monday midday. Glorious views, wide paths, lawns, interesting garden bed plantings, children's play ground. There is even a fire pit! Visitor centre was interesting, nice souvenirs not over priced. There were families and overseas visitors there . A family soccer game on the lawn, children running around, mothers with prams. Lush's gelato is good and the staff are usually friendly enough. However, when we stopped by last weekend during the North Shattuck Chocolate and Chalk festival, we were met with a rude and brusque demeanor by the individual working that day. Despite there being no line, we were rushed to make a decision on our flavors and our questions were answered with curtness and annoyance. Oh my goodness! I'm usually a bigger fan of gelato than ice cream because it's less sweet since I'm not a big sweets person. I think this is my favorite gelato place now because it is super creamy and smooth. I LOVED the earl grey flavor. It was the perfect hint of sweetness and had a strong tea flavor which I liked a lot!
