Came in here with my partner hoping to grab a quick boba between classes. She ordered a Thai tea with boba, that was done relatively quickly.

I ordered something called a "yogurt smoothie" and asked for boba, taro powder, and lychee jelly. Despite the fact that the place was near-empty, it took the guy behind the counter a solid 10 to 15 minutes to make the "smoothie" (contemptuous quotes because the finished drink had nothing resembling a smoothie's texture).

As for the finished product, I'm going to try being charitable and assume it was the guy's first time making that drink. He didn't appear to know how to operate the blender, and forgot to include the boba (which costs extra), and I believe that the taro powder (which also costs extra) was added after the blending process, which caused it to clump towards the bottom of the drink.

Drinking the yogurt smoothie as extremely unpleasant. It was like sugar water with a sour hint of yogurt. There were undissolved clumps of taro powder wedged in the straw as I tried to drink.

My partner and I were both unable to finish our drinks. I wouldn't recommend this fly-filled waste of real estate, money, and time to anyone.

A guy with long hair behind the bar was very rude to us while my partner and I were talking with her nephew. After confronting him about it, he became even more rude. Never coming back and the boba was terrible.

Ordered a waffle on a busy Friday afternoon, waited more than 20 minutes and until several numbers had past since mine; staff said it was most likely taken by someone and went to the back to check; I came back another 15 minutes later and my question was disregarded as "about that waffle you just asked 2 minutes ago"; staff went to the back and procured it very quickly; upon opening the topping was completely melted and the waffle soggy, obviously it had been sitting there for quite some time without any regard from staff even after I asked.

The Alley was popularized by a Korean drama with Lee Minh Ho. I'm not a huge boba fan, so the drinks were ok to me but their boba is chewy and tastier than other boba.My brother likes to add a splash of Hennessey to his royal tea.Was told this is the only location in the Bay Area. Yes, one in Elk Grove but that's not the Bay.

Was here for the JJK promotional drinks and the Geto one was pretty average mango smoothie type beat. I didn’t like the Gojo coconut one however.

The boba pearls are a 10/10, tea is decent and not too sweet. Royal Milk Tea with less ice became very watery after 30 minutes. More affordable than most of the other boba joints around campus, but some drinks seem overly expensive. Wait time can be horrendous, but inside seating is comfortable and spacious.

The Alley here at Berkeley opened over the weekend and we had the chance to try it out today. The place is very unsanitary. Floor is littered with napkins and trash and tables are untidy. They also got our order wrong. We ordered a drink with boba and less sugar which was clearly marked on the sticker on the cup, but our drink did not have boba and its 100% sweet to our taste. They also had a queue system and we were number 60. We were surprised they were already calling number 65 and up and our order was not called yet.I know taste can be very subjective, but honestly, there are other places with better quality and more affordable milk teas.We paid 24$ for three drinks. And oh, good luck with parking.
