When we visited Three Twins a few weeks ago, we were very happy that they not only had options that didn't have chocolate in them, but the options were amazing! Had the cardamom ice cream in cold brew coffee and it was wonderful! We will definitely try to go back whenever we are in the area.

The service was great. I would definitely recommend their strawberry ice cream and their lemon cake ice cream.

2/4/2020: I don't think the times on Yelp, online and what's posted on their door is accurate. My ice cream loving boyfriend and I decided to satisfy our cravings with our favorite - lemon cookie!!! However!!! Their doors did not open at 12, 12:05, 12:10 and even at 12:15! So maybe they open at 12:30? We couldn't wait so we left. But we did come back after our errands and guess what? Yes, they were open. Thank God! As excited as we were, out experience was a 1 star. Service was below the bare minimum. We weren't greeted happily. Ice cream is ice cream. Their Lemon Cookies most likely was a day, or maybe two, days old because it was already almost to the bottom! Nonetheless, it was still yummy; better than buying a pint at your local store. Will we be returning? Maybe. But hopefully someone will be there when to open on time..

TLDR: pretty good ice cream but not my top choice. I would get it if I were in the area. My partner and I were in the 4th street area just shopping around and stumbled upon Three Twins Ice Cream. The shop itself is quite small but welcoming and we quickly decided on ordering a Cookie Monster sundae. The sundae came with chocolate fudge, whipped cream, cookie chunks and more. I really enjoyed this sundae but felt as if the size was small for the price ($8). I would come here again to try out other flavors if I were in the area but it definitely doesn't come close to my other favorite ice cream shops. I would recommend coming here if you're in the area!

The ice cream is pretty good but they need help with management, hence the "now hiring" sign out front right now. I would prefer the person scooping and serving ice cream had a headnet on, as the employee's hair kept falling into the cones as she was scooping not just for us, but to the customers ahead of us as well.

Delicious ice cream flavors. Had the bittersweet chocolate & lemon cookie. Nicer little alcove of yummy...small scoops.

I love this place! Great customer service and so worth the wait in line for great ice cream. They even have a delicious vegan coffee flavor! Definitely will be back.

I love three twins + I've always had a lovely experience stopping by this spot! The location is conveniently located on 4th street (next to bette's diner) and the service has always been great. They also have sundaes which are delicious and very generously prepared (make sure to try the "slop bucket" to share for two). It's not a big deal to me but I think the only trouble I've had here is that they seem to have run out of a couple flavors whenever I've stopped by. Also, be forewarned that the seating is only outside so coming here when it's chilly isn't super-pleasant.

Ok, so I went to this place on a Saturday night so they were probably close to closing which may explain the lack of variety. There were only about 5 flavor choices. I ended up getting a California Cliche Sundae (whipped cream, burnt caramel sauce, and toasted pistachios) with a scoop of Dad's Cardamom and s scoop of Land of Milk and Honey. It was definitely expensive but it was soooooooo good. Absolutely decadent

Today I happened to come to 4th street in Berkeley to check the Mac Makeup Store because I am getting married on September 21st and Mac is applying my makeup. So I decided to stroll down the street as I saw Three Twins Ice Cream I came in ordered Mint Contiffitt and Lemon Cookie. Delicious and yummy organic ice cream "I love it". Then something happened a wasp began swarming around. I moved it continuously was attacking so much so that I dropped my ice cream. Renal saw what was happening asked what flavors I had and brought another bowl of ice cream. I just want to Thank You Renal and Wendy, owners of Three Twin Ice Cream for the kindness. I will return again for more delicious yummy ice cream in the future.
