About Chang Shou

Chang Shou, located within the Cache Creek Casino, offers a delightful dining experience with fantastic food at reasonable prices. The standout dish is still the Hong Kong Special Chow Mein, featuring lightly pan-fried noodles topped with a flavorful mix of vegetables and meat, reminiscent of Wor Won Ton soup without the broth. Customers praise the authenticity and freshness of the food, with a good variety of Cantonese comfort dishes, including Dim Sum and Congee. The restaurant caters to diverse tastes, with dishes like Shumai Siu Bad, Pot Stickers, Pai Gow Congee, Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and the highly recommended Buddha's delight, a mixed vegetable dish with tofu. The roast duck is noted as juicy, aromatic, and tender to perfection. The ambiance is described as beautiful, though the atmosphere can be noisy at times, especially when busy. Service is fast, and staff members are friendly and professional. Reservations are recommended due to the popularity of the restaurant. Overall, Chang Shou is a recommended destination for those seeking a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine, with the Hong Kong Special Chow Mein being a must-try dish.

At our annual family casino day last year, we ate in the restaurant and had a delicious meal. We were excited to return. Unfortunately today's meal was very sub par. My niece commented it tasted like food from a steam table. The Kung Pao chicken and Mongolian beef were missing the vegetables they're usually served with. The sweet and sour pork had a bland orangy sauce. What happened to this place? I do not recommend.

We had dinner at Chang Shou at Cache Creek Casino and ordered the shrimp with vegetables and the Hong Kong noodles with seafood.

The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the portions were decent, and the service was good. However, the food was very bland and lacked flavor. On the positive side, it wasn’t overly salty like many restaurant dishes.

Overall, the experience was okay. The atmosphere and service were enjoyable, but the food was forgettable and not something...read full review
