About Lobster Guys Buena Park

Lobster Guys Buena Park is a small restaurant with a mostly one-person operation. The interior is relatively small with black walls and black tile, feeling a little dark, though the glass storefront brings in natural light. The vibe is upbeat and casual with pop music playing. Ordering is done through an electronic kiosk or touch screen, which can be confusing for first-time visitors as the flow isn't obvious, but it is easy to use once known.

The food is good and the restaurant is generally clean. The standout item is the lobster roll, specifically the OG Maine lobster roll and the classic lobster roll. They feature a solid, generous amount of fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned lobster meat with a bright lemony flavor, served on toasted, fresh bread. The rolls come with a small side of salad. The Crab Grilled Cheese with tomato soup is also a favorite. Sides like the fries are crispy, well-seasoned, and solid, while the clam chowder is pretty standard. Portions are great.

Service is very limited due to the one-person operation, so speed and interaction are minimal, but the server is very nice, accommodating, helpful, and attentive when needed. Prices are considered fair, though some note the price point. The overall experience is satisfying, with strong food making it worth a try, though some recommend takeout for the best experience.

The Lobster Guys in Buena Park absolutely delivers when it comes to food. Everything tasted amazing—fresh, flavorful, and downright delicious. The portions are generous and worth every bite, especially if you’re a seafood lover.

That said, the service is very no-nonsense. Don’t even think about asking for small menu tweaks—like mixing lobster and shrimp tacos in one order. The response is a firm (and loud) no. What’s on the menu is what you get, period.

This place has POTENTIAL. I can totally see it. But it feels like they opened prematurely. Their beverage fridge was empty and they only had 3 fountain drink options available out of 9 selections.

We came specifically for their Lobster Mac n’ Cheese but they didn’t have it available because the “recipe was being modified” per the cashier.

We opted for the Lobster Sandwhich and the Fish n’ Chips. Both came with fries which were DELICIOUS. But there were...read full review
