There is heated outside dining if you want to connect with the activity of Canon Drive. Inside the tables are spaced so you are not on top of other diners, the seating is very comfortable, and it is nicely decorated, with a white vaulted ceiling. We ordered five appetizers, then lamb chops and fish - all excellent. There is valet parking and also public parking a few steps away. The pricing is quite reasonable for the experience, which we plan to come back for.“

“I was looking around for a cuisine that I dont normally have an opportunity to have, and I saw this lovely Greek shop. Such a good dinner decision! The staff were kind and attentive, first and foremost, which I appreciated. I had the falafel gyro with garlic parm fries, and I was going to have the baklava, but they were out! They offered me the s'more gyro as an alternative since I'm not a fan of cheesecake. The falafel was well seasoned with the veggies providing a bright and fresh contrast. The fries were crispy and very garlicky (my fav!!) with a tzatziki sauce that brought a nice creaminess. And the s'more gyro?? I wasn't disappointed, and I will definitely be ordering it myself next time! They also had some lovely Greek rap playing while I waited for my to-go, which I enjoyed immensely. I ordered the 12 inch lamb and beef gyro shawarma wrap and the fries it up with beef and it was so fresh, clean and delicious. highly recommend! “My father was a major foodie and was always out finding new places to go and food to try. Always eating what he wasn't supposed to lol. He brought us for breakfast one day and we havent stopped going.

The staff is very hospitable in a latin family way. My son and I are familiar faces and always are treated with the most kind smiles and warmest welcomes. I suggest this place 100%. They do close at 4, so make it for breakfast or and early lunch. Street parking only, it is in a residential area so it can be tricky. Sadly, the homeless take up alot of the sidewalk where there is parking. You may have to walk a bit.“

The place is located in a a cute little building (missed it on the first drive-by) with a mini garden to sit outside at one of four tables. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, cleanly presented. Will say: been there, saw and tasted it, and a lot, as I may say and much to the dismay of my doctor who is in my back to lose a few pounds. Quite a few, as I may add, which is why my wife and I walk ten thousand steps per day, where- and whenever we can - and explore a lot of new exciting places - places you may oversee when just driving by. While I love to share my experience with others, I am sometimes shocked how people use their "power of word" to down-rate amazing places because of minor incidents (in my all time favourite​ restaurant Le Petit Four on Sunset Plaza the owner was even called a racist as he refused to toast the (free) bread in his packed restaurant - they simply do not offer toasted bread, as no French​ place does, as I may add). Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers​ boxed to take home? As a dog owner,​ I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "you give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea...​ I hope you agree. So If I had the say on this portal, I would offer just to see ratings of my friends. So I would see what the ratings were by like-minded people. Sadly, I have no say. I try not to compare apples with oranges. A place like this simply does not compare to "The Ritz". At first,​ I assume that a restaurant is clean, they do not greet you with a gun - and they deliver whatever they promise. I do not give stars for things that are expected. In my rating scheme, three or more stars are awarded if they actually exceeded my expectation. Four, if I am sure I will come back. “I remember growing up in the 80's eating at Astro Burger on the corner of Alvarado St and Village. That restaurant has been closed, but I am so glad the owner still keep this one open on Melrose. I stop just by with my family for dinner and the astro burgers taste just as good as they have always been. Love that original charbroil burgers with that marinated sliced lettuces. They keep that classic vibe and nostalgia atmosphere. Will always come back every once in a while when I feel like a kid again. 🙂“
