I am so sad to see you go! The owners were so kind & we loved coming here for the classics, you will be so missed. A few years ago, my son (about 5 years old) asked once if he could make his own pizza, & as I tried to let him now that would be impossible- the owners agreed & urged him to go into the kitchen to make his own pizza- he was thrilled- it was amazing.... I was sorry to learn last night that Bella Vista had closed. I first ate there in 1981, when I began working in Burbank. Even then it felt like an "older" restaurant. From reading the closure message on their web site it sounds like the present owners had it for 32 years, but I think it goes back much further than that. Tony's Bella Vista is my taste of real Italian Food in California. Growing up in Chicago the best Italian food was Como Inn and it was special. At Bella Vista the tastes and textures taste real as if someone's Grandma was buying fresh ingredients and working over the stove for hours.
