I love this place so much! It reminds me of home. We come here at least once a week and their dumplings are so fresh. Service is very fast and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend getting authentic dumplings at this place.

Order: * Pork Xiao Long Bao * Lamb & Carrot Dumpling * Sliced Beef & Ox Tripe in Chili Oil * Cucumber Salad * House Special Beef Noodle Soup Pros: * Beef Noodle Soup. Great broth flavor and the beef was cut in to bite sized pieces and cooked well enough that the connective tissue was tender and easy to break down, which I find to be so hard to find in the Bay. * Both dumplings were tender and flavorful. The XLB had plenty of soup and the lamb was not gamey. * The sliced beef and ox tripe was cuz so thin that what would normally be too tough/chewy for me was actually pleasant to snack on. * Food came out fast and the servers and kitchen staff were very friendly to us. We sat by the kitchen, which was fun because it was just a huge glass partition where you can see them make all the dumplings from scratch. * Plenty of seating and a fairly spacious interior. Easy, plentiful parking. Cons: * The skin on the dumplings still falls short of DTF, but then again, I've not found any other spot who makes it like them. They're still my gold standard in the Bay. Comments: * 4.5 stars if I could. It's hard to tell someone, "wow, you have to go here," but at the same time, everything was delicious and I really could not find any fault with my experience. If I'm thinking of going for dumplings and beef noodle soup in the mid-peninsula, this will probably be my first thought.

We passed by this restaurant many times but finally decided to try it and we glad we did! Inside was clean and busy with crowds. We ordered the beef noodle soup and XLB and they were really good and tasty! Price is reasonable and service was good. Will be back for sure!

The boiled dumplings were solid and pricing is reasonable. I especially like the chewiness of the dumpling wraps. The pork shrimp chives one is my favourite :)The soup dumplings were pretty mediocre. They also sell frozen dumplings to go.

This is a clean, spacious chinese restaurant with great service. They offer limited menu selections and hope they would offer additional options in the near future. In terms of food, don't bother ordering their special uni and pork dumplings. Each dumpling cost $4 and definitely not worth it IMO. There were no sight and hints of uni, and tasted like a plain dumpling. The XLB was a delight. The skin was thinnly made while still retaining the juice inside the XLB. Each order came with 6 XLB for $12.99. The noodle soup was meh and could use a tad more noodles. The pan fried dumplings were not crispy when they first served them and had to ask them to redo it again.

Great addition to the Burlingame food scene. Atmosphere is very inviting and enjoyable. The staff are all attentive and pleasant to interact with. Food was delicious and portion size felt appropriate for the price. Enjoyed their potsticker the most out of everything we

This place was recommended by my cousin. Pleasantly surprised with their noodles dishes. We ordered the mince meat and bean paste noodle, beef noodle soup, pork shrimp chive and egg dumpling, Napa cabbage and pork dumpling and XLB. The minced meat bean paste noodle was my favorite. But...HOLD THE RAW ONIONS (for me). Noodles were perfect. Fresh, chewy, soft and came out nice and hot. The beef noodle soup had good flavor and the beef pieces were cut into 1/2 inch cubes which made the soup dish less sloppy. I can appreciate that. Pork, shrimp, chive and egg dumpling in my opinion had more flavor than the Napa and pork dumpling. OK...let's talk XLB! The XLB came out piping hot and not over cooked and deflated like some other places. These were sitting tall and upright..I hope you can imagine what I'm trying to say! The pork and soup inside the XLB were very tasty. The skin was not the thinnest, but pretty good. Not the best XLB I've ever had, but the best in this neighborhood so far. Price point. The noodle dishes were reasonable. Most noodle dishes were $12.99. The dumplings were $12.99 for 14 pieces (dry) totally reasonable. But the price for 6 pieces of XLB was a bit overpriced in my opinion. I would order again and again if the order came with 8-10 pieces. Service was really good. The Chinese server was very knowledgeable and attentive. He gave us some good recommendations. This restaurant is so much better than the old run down cafe it use to be! It's brighter, cleaner and newer. I can appreciate the effort that was made to making this place a comfortable eating establishment. All in all, I will always order the minced meat bean paste noodle and shrimp pork chive and egg dumpling EVERYTIME! This is now one of my favorite neighborhood spots.

2nd visit here and it was not crowded with a long wait, like our first visit. We still don't know what to order from the appetizer menu. Items are very ethnic. However, we had xiao long bao, which are excellent. As good as, or better than the Shanghai dumpling shop in Millbrae. The beef noddle soup was my favorite, warming on a cold night, like Chinese soul food. We also had the Napa cabbage and pork dumplings, which are good. Most of the customers speak Chinese, so I think it's pretty authentic. Easy parking, close to home and very good food!

I was actually pretty surprised by how much I enjoyed Yuanbao Jiaozi. Came for lunch with my family this past weekend at opening and basically had our pick of the restaurant. One hour later, the place was jam packed, so definitely come earlier rather than later if you want to avoid a wait. You are given one menu, but can also order via QR code on the tables. Staff are relatively efficient and leave you alone for the most part unless you flag them down. We ordered a variety of apps and dumplings (all orders with 14 pieces) and enjoyed everything: Celery and peanuts ($7.99) - a good healthy snack Cucumber salad ($7.99) - very refreshing Tofu skin salad ($7.99) - you can adjust spice level Lotus root salad ($7.99) - a bit addictive and a good crunch if you like the texture Chive and egg dumpling ($12.99) - my FAVE! Zucchini and egg dumpling ($12.99) - not as good as the chive and egg Chicken and corn dumpling ($12.99) Shiitake mushroom and fish dumpling ($12.99) Pork XLB ($12.99 for 6) I didn't try the meat-based dumplings, but I heard the quality was good and the only complaint was that there wasn't more variety of XLB. All the dumplings were rather large in size and for 14 pieces an order, it's more than filling. For a party of 5, we spent a little over $100 after tax- a steal! TIP: If you buy gift cards, they give you a small bonus. However, they said we had to buy at least $300 worth of gift cards to be able to use it the same day. For $300, they gift you an extra $40 in credit (basically free money!). Might be worth it if you come frequently.

I have became a regular here lol. Their sour cabbage spicy beef noodle soup and xiao lung bao are our always must get. Service with the cantonese servers is always good. The one that speaks mandarin, not as good, but that does not affect us coming here. Anyways, highly recommend and looking forward to trying every dish on their menu.

Love the dumplings from here! We usually order the cucumber salad, dandan noodles and variety of dumplings. Everything's good especially the pan fried dumplings and also great portion. We usually come at night, quick service with the multiple times we've come.
