Café Ficelle is a charming spot in old town Camarillo, serving excellent coffee, breakfast, and teas. Their iced Butterfly Matcha Latte is a hit, and their crepes are well-made, although some find them a bit dense. The friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and delicious pastries, including authentic French-style croissants, make it a must-visit bakery. The raspberry liege waffles are delicious yeast-raised with homemade jam, and the cinnamon rolls are heaven with decadent cream cheese frosting. Noteworthy is the almond croissant, with enough almond paste, and the Earl Grey Lavender Croissant, flaky and buttery with a lightly sweetened tea-flavored filling. The avocado toast comes on crispy sourdough with pepper spread, fresh avocado, and pistachio dust. Enjoy fun seasonal drinks and a selection of cookies, rotating pastries, and homemade English muffins rolled in crushed corn nuts. Even when busy, the lovely baristas provide excellent service.
