Sheila's Place Wine Bar & Cafe offers incredible food, fantastic dishes, and spectacular wines in a beautiful and romantic setting. The staff is lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing. The menu features delicious options such as baked Brie, beef stroganoff, filet with potatoes and veggies, and salmon with miso sauce. The restaurant also offers seasonal specials like smoked duck with fig jam and arugula crostini, showcasing Chef Ivan's talent with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The pork chop on a bed of creamy garlic Parmesan polenta, with charred broccolini and puréed carrots, and the halibut with roasted potatoes and vegetables are cooked perfectly, with flavors that demonstrate the chef's skill. The staff, including owners who are also Chef Ivan's parents, create a warm, family-like atmosphere, making guests feel very welcome. They take time to explain the importance of organic produce, local farm products, and ethically sourced proteins, showing their care for healthy, thoughtful dishes. Despite some thinking it was just a wine bar, many discover that this upscale family restaurant has a huge variety of wines and excellent food that surpasses even well-known places like Mastro’s. Although prices may be a bit high, the exceptional service, delicious food, and welcoming environment make it a perfect choice for special occasions, date nights, anniversaries, and holidays. The food is so delicious, using organic and fresh ingredients, with beautiful presentation and amazing taste, making it one of the best meals in a long time. Guests look forward to returning to this hidden diamond in Camarillo.
